YC CL or BC CL plus which view?

Hi everyone!

So we've narrowed our resort choice down to YC or BC and we want to stay Club Level. We stayed at BC last year and loved it so I have no doubt we will love either YC or BC. I'm leaning toward YC only because I like to try new resorts, but could be swayed if most people think CL at BC is better. I have read mixed reviews about CL at YC and BC recently and also pros and cons of different room views. I just read that BC CL GV could be a bit loud? We would love a full balcony and I don't want to look at a rooftop or parking lot, so I'm guessing GV, Deluxe or LV at BC CL or GV or LV at YC should be our choices. I would spring for LV just to be on the same floor as the CL lounge, but just wondering if it's really necessary?

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

All of the CL rooms at the YC have full balconies. Many, but not all, in all view categories have full balconies at the BC. Actually, all of the BC GV rooms DO have full balconies.

Except for the Deluxe Rooms, which are scattered on different floors throughout the resort and are a little larger than the normal CL rooms, all CL rooms will be on the same floor at the club level lounges (5th floor at both YC and BC)

Standard view is rooftops or parking lots, so it does sound like you want another view category (garden or lagoon/water view)

I have never stayed at the YC, so I can't offer a comparison between the two resorts.

I would like to invite you to join the fun on the BC/YC FAQ board. There's lots of info and pictures about the resort on the first page of the thread, and lots of knowlegeable posters who frequent the board and can answer any questions you have.

ETA: There is a thread that was started today by someone who has loved YC CL in the past, and just returned from BC CL and she gives her thoughts and comparisons. May be just what you are looking for!

I've personally only stayed at BC, but my sister stayed at YC last year, and we got to visit (we were at CR on those days).

BC is slightly more 'family' while YC is slightly more quiet. They share pools. I think I like the decor of BC slightly better, but really they share much.

The pool complex is great fun.

In many ways, we had our best CL experience at BC. the lounge is not maybe as big as some others, but the staff was really outstanding. They were just top notch for us all the way. There are thigns i like a little better about the location of certain resorts, but BC was really great.

We stayed tehre in summer 2010, I think, so I think the lounge has changed a bit since then along with the menu. We thought the food was really great, but I think maybe it's gotten better since then. The food there was among our top picks in CL.

I am considering another visit there. It is an especially great pick in summer. BWK is sligtly closer to the parks, (which is key for us) but the pool at BC/YC is WAY better.

As far as room views, I'm not very particular. We were actually quite happy with our Standard view room at BC. The price was right, we had a partial view of the ball, we were super close to the lounge, and really we had what I thought was a rather nice view of the courtyard. Yes, we kind of overlooked the parking lot, but we really could not see it very much; it was blocked by trees. I hear deluxe rooms are far from the lounge- which is far more important to me. then again, we don't spend all thatmuch time on the balcony. Since we were SO close, we ate our food on our balcony. We could not do that when we had 'better' room views in other resorts.

It seems like YC CL is getting slightly better reviews, and I do like that it's closer to the HS boat dock. It's such a toss up! We stayed at BC last year and LOVED it!! It's going to be hard not to go back, but I really do want to try every resort! I think I will go for YC!! Thanks for the responses!

I agree with Natebenma on checking out the BC/YC thread, there's a wealth of info there, also the thread suggested. Another is from a person who just did 4 split CL stays, one of them at YC.

We had a GV room at BC CL last Aug, looking out on the grassy area by Volleyball net. It wasn't loud at all, if we looked off to our right we actually had a bit of a lake view with Boardwalk too, and we could see the higher Illuminations at night! We discovered this our last night :roll eyes: when we were actually in our room at that time, packing!!!
I loved the BC CL, nice lounge, and wonderful CMs.
