YC candle buying question

As I sit here with DS who is WIDE awake and crawling everywhere (and to think a few weeks ago I was concerned he wasn't crawling yet ) and I light my 14.5oz Sweet Melon YC, I thought I'd ask this question....what size candle to you normally buy? The salespeople always try to push to buy the biggest jar because it's the most candle for you money. I usually buy the 14.5oz (middle size) because I like to switch scents often. That's also a reason I got into tarts...can switch scents more often.

I totally agree with all your reasons. They always try to "upsale" me as well to the bigger ones but I find the middle size is just right. I also get bored quickly and am ready for a new scent before the huge ones are all gone, I love tarts as they are so strong but don't last a long time and are a good way to try out new scents before I buy the candle. By the way I recently got a new scent called Macintosh and Peach - it smells great.

I only buy tarts, nothing else. I have a basket that the tarts sit in, along with the tea lights and matches. They look pretty and smell heavenly. I can switch scents any time for very little money. I've never had a "not enough scent" with the tarts, but I have with the jars.

I agree with the tarts!!!! They are SO much better than the jar candles. I have 3 tart burners (which were about $6 each) and they are the best!! My favorite tart is the Pumpkin Pie-yuuuuuuuuuuuum!! I still have a few of the jars, but I rarely use them anymore, they just don't have as strong a scent as the tarts.

I usually buy the bigger one.... lasts longer..better use of my money. My favorite is Tulip!

I love the small jars....in my bathroom....larger ones in other parts of the house. I have a 3 season porch and I just purchased my1st tart burner to use out there....thought it was so cute and very "beachy"!

They also have new "seasonal" stuff out, including things with flip flops....and I just love flip flops!

I buy tarts, votives and large jars.

I like the tarts to try new scents......I buy votives for the same reason (some scents are only available this way) and as presents.....I buy large jars of the ones I really like.
I still switch them often
I have one shelf in my closet that just has YCs on it
About 15 large jars....loads of accessories and plastic shoe boxes with tarts and votives in them.

I'm hopeless......and still I buy more

They have some good online specails sometimes.
Last summer (maybe July or so ) I got about $150 or stuff for $50!!

My daughter has already mentioned the flip flop stuff

I love my Macintosh Shower gel and Lotion and Also my Tulip. They remind me of my Childhood Home in MI. I am not a candle person but I still love going into store and sniffing away.

Pooh's Pal...I saw that tart warmer last time we were in our YC store and thought it was just too cute! I also saw one that was a bathtub with the shower curtain going around it...too cute! Tart burners have come a long way! Two of the three I have are so plain.

I do love my tarts, but now with DS, I like to keep jars in the living room since it's not as easy to spill the wax if he bumps into table.

I make trips twice yearly to the Flagship store in Springfield, Ma. I buy a lot of large sizes when they are on sale/clearance. I use the largest for the downstairs of my home.

My daughter thinks candle sniffing is a hobby, so we usually pick up a 24 pack of votives. This satisfies my need to switch scents because I burn them in my office. The votives don't have the same effect on the larger spaces in my home.

I love candles!
