Just got back from a 10 night stay at YC and CR. Split our stay - 5 nights at each resort.

YC- I had requested a lagoon view room and at check in (after some prodding by me) got room 4065. This was a corner room with a fantastic view of the lagoon. The room had a full balcony but the view from the balcony was through a large circular window. Nonetheless, this is probably one of the ten best rooms at the YC. We really loved this room and enjoyed the Epcot fireworks from the balcony onj two nights.

The room was very clean and housekeeping did an excellent job. The resort itself was also very clean. We truly enjoyed our stay here - and you cannot beat the covenience of the walk to EPCOT and to MGM.

SAB was a great pool - our DD4 and DD6 really enjoyed swimming here.

CR - I had requested a tower view room with a view of the MK. We got bumped up to 12th floor concierge (I did not ask for the upgrade, they simply gave it to me at checkin) and stayed in room 4846. This offered a great view of MK. The room was very clean and I loved the large balcony. We watched the Wishes fireworks on two nights (they were truly spetacular).

The resort itself was very crowded - there was some sort of convention going on. The resort was generally in good shape but the elevators were filthy - the carpet needs to be replaced and they need to be thoroughly cleaned. The hallways and other areas were in good shape (although we did not walk around the wings).

Housekeeping did a great job. With concierge, we had turn down service which gave us chocolates and extra towels at night.

Concierge was nice - we ate our breakfast in the room every morning. They had an excellent continental breakfast selection, including Krisp Kreme donuts. During lunch time, they had cookies, bakery and other snacks available. We did not use the concierge personnel otherwise. I did like the fact that in concierge they did deliver our packages into our room.

The refrigerator was also nice. We always buy a styrofoam cooler to cool drinks that we take into the park (we have a soft side cooler that we take into the parks). With the fridge, we really did not need the styrofoam cooler - saved WDW alot of money on ice!

We really liked the pool - my DD6 was able to use the slide and spent alot of time going down it.

I love the conveniece of the walk to MK from the CR. This allowed us to go back to the room and swim during the heat of the day.

Overall, I would stay at both resorts again.

Happy to answer any questions!!!:teeth: :teeth:

Thanks for the review on the CR. We are staying on the 12th floor in September. I was glad to read about the breakfast selections and snack. That is too neat that you were upgraded.
