I've been secretly wanting my DH to warm up to the idea of DVC - we're renting points for our upcoming vacation in Nov. My DH's best friend from HS just got home from his first trip to WDW, and lo and behold, he last minute ended up staying at BLT in a 1 BR, and almost buying into DVC. Even though he didn't, it sure helps my case for my DH to know a live person who he trusts, seriously consider this!!!

Had to share. No one else around here gets how exciting this is!!!

Hopefully the DVC stay will convince him and you can even make him think it was his idea. Will be sprinkling pixie dust for you hoping he wants to buy in after your trip. Good luck and have a wonderful vacation.

Yeah, can't think about buying this school year due to boys' tuition to pre-K and K (can you believe it!!??), but at least it may get the wheels turning for post-May, when our situation gets a LOT better! My DH takes a long time to make big decisions, so this will get the process started, at least.

I think renting is a good way to test the waters with your DH. Did you rent a studio or a 1BR? If it's a 1BR he might be hooked! See if you can get him to take the DVC tour while you're there. It might take an hour or so and DVC will pick you up at your resort then drop you off where ever you want to go - at least they used to.

Where are you staying in November? No matter where it is, I'm sure you'll have a great trip!

Staying DVC with our friends May 2009 was one of, if not the biggest, factors in convincing DH to purchase DVC.
