Yay, we've booked!

I'm a bit late at posting this but, last Tuesday we booked our holiday!

We are going on 4th August, staying at POFQ

We have been for the last 2 weeks of August for the past 3 years, which has always been over our oldest DD's birthday.
This will be our 1st time going early August which will be over our youngest DD's birthday (she will be so excited as we've always found the flights to be more expensive in early Aug but not this time )

We haven't told our DDs yet but want to do it soon (we are going with another family and they don't want to tell their children yet).
Last year we told them on Christmas day but we don't want to do the same this year, we don't want them to think that this is a new family tradition

Like I said earlier this will be our 1st time going early August, are the crowds much busier?
I've had a look at this years park hours and the parks all seem to be open much later. We are quite good at getting to the parks for rope drop and EMH during our first week and this year we managed to stay in MK one evening until 1.30am which was great as our older daughter's birthday officially started at midnight!

Any info or advice would be appreciated

Oh my word just saying to DH how many of us have booked for next year. Think the offer of $150 pushed us into booking LOL.

Can't advise on the crowds in Aug and you already know what sort of temps to expect.

Have a great time planning. I stopped looking at these boards so much after we came back and now with another trip in the works I am again obsessed.

We overlap a week, we will be there til the 11th Aug next year.

Get to the parks early, take an afternoon break and back in for evenings, we have never had problems doing that in August.

We might make it to a DIS meet next year if there is one thats fits our dates. I thought about going this year and chickened out

We were hoping to have a bit more pool time in the afternoon next year (weather permitting). We will have to try and convince the other family we are going with, to get going early, it takes them ages to get sorted in the mornings.

We went at the beginning of August last year, and following the busy days guides and avoiding the majority of parks on EMH days, we actually didn't find it any different to our previous "norm" of mid-August.

On the two occasions we visited MK (on Thursdays I think), Fastpasses were still being issued out at 7pm for the majority of rides.

We're there around the same as yourself next year - staying at OKW 2nd to 16th
