I kept calling our guide, and he told us the financing was complete and the closing was done today, so we're in!! (We bought into BLT...).
He hooked us up with member services, who got us logged into the DVCmember site.

One thing I thought was strange, I am curious to hear others comments. I asked our guide "so do we get a letter...an email..something saying officially, you're a DVC member welcome!"
Our guide said no, he didn't think so. We should just look for the deed in the mail...and that the auto payments would be deducted starting in November.

That does not sound right to me....any comments??

You will receive a couple different mailings, but I can't remember what we received and when we received it. One of the first included our plastic membership cards.

I believe I got a letter from Quality Assurance telling me that they received my documents. I believe that I also got a phone call after the contract closed. Paperwork like the title insurance papers and deed came a good 2-3 months later.

We purchased in June and got our Deed the first week or so of August. We got our membership cards about 2 weeks after we sent the paperwork in.

We also got the bill for our MF and we owed for June through Dec this year, right. Only, because we got the bill in August it took the 6 months amount and spread it out over 5 months, changing our monthly amount by several dollars. Even though the whole amount came on this bill they started taking it out of our account 8/15, in the monthly amount. It was confusing to me. I thought these first few months we paid at one time Who knew??

It was very fast! It closed last Friday, so start to finish from when I handed the Fedex carrier the envelope (Monday 8/31) to the closing (Friday 9/11) was 12 days.
