Yay just got a job interview

Hey

I have just got a job interview and now i am so nervous, as i have not had an interview in about six years.

I am going to have to buy a new outfit tomorrow, and i have been told not to wear black but i love black lol and was hoping to buy black trousers and a nice top. What do you guys recommend?

Also i have my holiday booked for June, and i am wondering whether they would want to take someone on who will jetting off for two weeks when they have only just started.

Hmm, I would be gutted if told not to wear black as that is my base colour and I rarely don't wear it as a base. There must be a reason for asking you not to do so. What kind of job is it (office? Creative type job? etc) That could give some hints. They may be looking for some creative flare.

My mum and my sister both said dont wear black, the job is in administration, so i thought black would be fine. Like you it is my staple colour.

I was thinking a pair of plain black trousers a nice top and jacket?

There are 12 people being interviewed, but fingers crossed. It will be a much better job than i am in now

Good luck for your interview. I think black trousers and a nice top will be fine. I interview candidates for my place of work and as long as they look smart, I don't really look at what they wear! The only thing I really notice is the over use of perfume or aftershave (it makes me sneeze!!)

Thanks yes that is what my mum and sister said, i did not get an outfit yesterday as ds was going mad when i was trying things on lol.

Will go back today, i think i might look for a nice cream jacket to go with the outfit just to brighten it up
