Yay for groupon!

I scored a sweet deal on groupon! Half off our meal at the Warren Duck Club! It is very upscale and is supposed to have some of the best steaks around town! I am super psyched to eat there.

Does anyone here groupon too? Are you planning anything for Valentines day because of it?

I like when I find a good Groupon too! Last week I found one for the little sports store we always get my sons equipment at. It was for $20 off of $40 so I bought a few. He needs new running shoes and cleats so the timing is good

Last summer we got one for the Sammy Duvall Parasailing at the Contemporary. My husband and ds went and had an amazing time. There's one right now (or just was one..haven't looked in a few days) for the hot air balloon at Downtown Disney. I couldn't get anyone to bite on that one though. Apparently they are all afraid of heights. Which now that I think of it, makes ZERO sense considering they went parasailing last summer I can't believe I just caught that. Apparently they didn't want to tell mom they just didn't feel like it

Most restaurants won't let you use Groupons on holidays. Read the fine print.

The two days I don't want to be anywhere near a restaurant are Mother's Day and Valentine's Day.

I try to keep a few Groupons and Half Off Depot certificates on hand for the rest of the year.

We use Groupons for activities. Whale-watching, wine-tasting, boat rentals and cruises.

I sometimes think that if not for Groupon, I'd be a shut-it.

I'm a total Groupon groupie! The deals are great, I love the convenience of redeeming from my phone, and their service is amazing! There have been a few occasions where my experience either wasn't great, or my Groupon couldn't be redeemed (If the salon was fully booked when I need to go, for example) and they have always refunded me quickly and cheerfully.

I don't think we're using one for Valentine's Day, but I was able to score half off for the Miami Hop-On/Hop-Off bus tour for the night before our cruise in May. It's awesome!

I am totally loving Groupon. I have found several groupon I can use for upcoming things. If I can't use it on Valentines Day, I can for my birthday in April.

I'm not sure if we're going out or not, but my DBF and I have agreed that doing something for Valentines on Friday the 15th would be better than on the actual Valentines day- plus less folks should be out- so maybe that'd be a good time for folks to use a groupon if that's possible for you?

I avoid restaurants on V-Day, way too insane for me. Unless I can make a reservation somewhere and be sure that when I get there I'll only have to wait 30 minutes or so. lol I'll either get take out (Chinese or Thai usually) or just cook at home. I think a lot of people will have the same idea as Jannephotog and go out on Friday but places will be really busy on V-Day as well.
OP check the certificate, you may not be able to use it on V-Day, it should say if you can't. I buy various certificates from Groupon, services, goods, activities, restaurants. Right now I have wall decals to buy and a certificate for a meal for 4 at Fisherman's Grotto in SF, the decals was a $75 value for $25 and the meal is a meal for 4 with 2 appetizers, 2 desserts, 1 glass of wine each, salad or soup and an entree each, $200 value for $95. We are planning to take DBF's parents to dinner soon with it.

Funny! I tried to buy my son the Sammy Duvall for his 16th birthday. Nothing doing! I tried again recenlty after he had seen it last summer. Nothing doing! I then mentioned the Hot Air Balloon and he was all over that. But, that is a no deal for me! We got the Richard Petty racing one about 3 years ago and he loved it. I found myself thinking "what were you thinking...you are putting your 13 year old in a race car with someone you don't know racing 135 miles around the track".
