I need help! I am having trouble deciding which signature restaurant to go to on free dining. We have been the all the others and not these. My DH can be a picky eater( no cheese, cream sauces..etc) alhtough he can always find something on the menus. We like seafood and we like steak. I am looking for review on the quality and taste of the food, not necesarily on the value of the food.

What would be your pick and why?

Not sure how much help I can be as I haven't dinned at 2 of your choices. All I can say is that I really enjoyed Citricos. Pretty atmosphere and great service. The Arancini Crispy Risotto was yummy and so was the Creamy Polenta. :thumbsup2

I can't comment on Citricos or Yachtsman, but both times I've eaten at the Flying Fish, I've been very disappointed. I think they're one of those restaurants that takes really high-quality ingredients, then ruins them with totally over-the-top recipes. Which is a shame.

Of course, lots of people love FF, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, please! :)

We have eaten at both Yachtsman (a few times) and Citricos (1x last trip) and will be eating at both again in August. The food at both is very good. The atmosphere in Citricos is probably more "romantic" but Yachtman's is nice as well, just a little noisier (from our experiences there).

Sorry, cannot comment about Flying Fish as we have never eaten there.

Enjoy your trip:goodvibes

I've eaten at all 3 of them several times and all at least once within the last year and I'd rank them 1. FF 2. Citricos and 3. Yachtsman.

Reasons: FF has the best food, especially if you are interested in some great fish courses. Citricos also has some great food, but not quite as good as FF. Both places have nice presentation. FF has an open kitchen so there's a bit more of a hustle/bustle vibe to the place. Citricos is more refined but can be horribly noisy depending on the crowd that is there.

Yachtsman is generally the quietest of the 3 but the food quality is not at the same level. I'm not a huge filet eater; I prefer other cuts of beef. The NY steak and the ribeye I have had here have not been as good as I had hoped. The filet was pretty good but I've honestly been happier with the non-beef entrees here. I always enjoy the rolls with garlic spread that comes with the meals but that's not enough to get this place higher on the list than FF or Citricos.

I'd say Flying Fish as well.

Oh man, what a tough choice!

We've never been to Citricos, but we've always wanted to try it.

Yachtsman and Flying Fish are two of our favorite places at WDW.

If you're steak eaters, you can't go wrong with Yachtsman - fantastic steak, great service, lovely atmosphere. Try to get a table with a view of SAB. :)

If you like steak and fisheses, go for Flying Fish. The steak they have on their menu is fantastic, and their fish dishes are amazing.

If you click the first link in my sig you'll see a review of YSH and FF. The second link has a review of FF.

No matter which you choose, you'll enjoy wonderful food!!

Great, thanks for all the help I am going to read the reviews. By the way what is SAB? I think Flying fish and yatchsman are the leading 2 so far.

DH is a huge steak/beef fan (we literally have a cow feeding its cute little face in a pasture somewhere, fattening up to fill our freezer this fall) and to satisfy him, I booked a dinner at Yachtsmans Steakhouse. We enjoyed a lovely cocktail in the lounge before dinner with a sweatheart of a bartender and then went in for dinner. It was all good. Just that....good. I cannot say a single thing blew me away. I was ready for the best steak ever.....nope! Dessert???? Should be fabulous! I researched on here and ordered the Chocolate Flight.....ehhh.....nothing too great. DH got Creme Brulee (I have pic if you want to see) and it was lovely to look at but again, nothing special. I seriously prefer CaliGrill to all of the others we have been at so far. I do want to include Jiko on our next trip to see what they are all about.

Can't comment on your others but YS was maybe a cut above average but nothing special at all......
