Yardsale- rained out!

I spent so long getting ready for this, cleaning out, organizing and i was hoping to make some extra cash this weekend. Instead Mother Nature wins.

Is Labor DAy weekend a bad weekend for a yard sale? After that Im back to school, so no time!

If you don't have plans already, then I think the holiday w.e. is a great time to do a yardsale. There are always lots around here.

Definitely do Labor Day weekend, there's always lots of garage sales around here that weekend so people are on the look out for them.

Why not? It's not like it's Christmas. People will be out and about on Labor Day weekend and if you are in a good spot, or have lots of signs up to get to your house you will do well.

It usually rains every time we plan a yard sale. This year it didn't rain, but it did go up to 95 degrees with like 90 % humidity.

My best yard sale finds have been Memorial day weekend and Labor day weekend. I'd go for it! I cleaned out my kitchen cupboards and pantry yesterday and eliminated a lot of stuff. I wish I had enough for a yard sale, but it's just enough to be in the way. I'll box it all up for my mom's church yard sale! Good cause, and it gets it out of my house!

I had read to NOT do a sale on a holiday weekend, so I'm planning on doing one the weekend after Memorial day. I wish us both good luck!

Do you live in WA? I was going to go out to yardsales today, but it's wet and rainy. Sorry it affected you.

I think next week-end would be a fine time to have a yard sale. I'd spend the extra time making a few more signs, thinking of places to post that are free (like craigslist and such), and seeing if there aren't a few more things you could part with. Good luck!
