Have a question and would appreciate any and all feed back. My MIL is having her yearly yard sale this weekend. I have a BUNCH of old CK and MM
magazines that I thought about putting in the sale. I have been through the mags and pulled out LOs I liked. What do you think is a fair price to ask for these mags? Some have 4 or 5 pages pulled out, some only 1, some none. I was thinking .50 or .75 per magazine. Is that too much? I also have several sheets of 8 x 10 cardstock that I know I won't use....some I've had for 3 or 4 yrs and haven't used yet! What would be a fair price for this? Is .5 too much in a yard sale or should I pkg it up and sell in bundles?
It just drives me crazy to have what I think is a very fair and reasonable price on an item and then someone come along and try to talk me down on it. I'll come down some but not much. For example, I have a 4 pc pant suit that belonged to my youngest daughter that is now 5. It's a 3T, Baby Gap pair of black pants, pair of leopard print pants, brown sweater w/faux fur collar and matching faux leopard print hat. It is SOOOO cute. My cousin bought it for her little girl and paid over $75 for the outfit, she only wore it once or twice and then my daughter only wore it 2 or 3 times. In a consignment sell I had $40 on it but it never sold. Then in a yard sale I put $30 on it. Now I have dropped it to $25. When I had priced at $30 in the yard sale, I was offered $10 for it but just couldn't let it go for that. Felt like I was giving it away. Maybe I expect too much? I know technically people come to yard sales for bargains and most people that have them are just trying to get rid of things but I feel I have some very nice baby items and they shouldn't be given away.
