Has anyone had lunch or dinner at the Yamabuki in PPH and sat in the tatami room? The tatami room is where you sit on the floor but there's a hole under the table where you can dangle your feet. I was just curious what that was like if you experienced it.

I have eaten at Yamabuki but never in that room, if you go please post after I would like to know as well, we are going in November and we always eat there at least once.

I have never eaten there. I just wanted to say that I would be a little freaked out throughout the dinner with my feet dangling in a hole. I have seen too many scary movies.:rotfl:

We are eating there in November. I will have to check out the holey!

We ate dinner there in March and I enjoyed it. After dinner no one expressed any discomfort from having been sitting on the "floor".

I'm pretty short 5'3" (on a good day :) ) and I don't recall having a problem. My husband is 6'3" and he wasn't uncomfortable either. If I recall correctly, it was just like sitting on a chair and your feet dangle into the "hole". It's not like it's a huge bottomless pit or anything. :rotfl2:

That is a funny thought...bottomless pit!
