I have been to Teppenyaki a handful of times and loved it each time. On our next trip we will probably being trying a few different places at epcot. But, if the food at Yakitori is similar to Teppanyaki, I might have to try it for lunch or a quick snack. How is the Yakitori House? Thanks

We lived in Japan for four years and feel that the chicken yakitori (marinated chicken over a bed of rice) from the Yakitori House is the same as we bought in Japan. Teppenyaki is nothing like Japanese food, it's the american version of what most people think the Japanese eat.

My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Might not make it til our trip in July.

Teppanyaki and Yakatori are must visits for my family every trip - at least they were until our last visit. Teppanyaki is still great but Yakatori's quality dropped substantially in the last year. We won't be returning to Yakatori any time soon.

We love the Teppanyaki and the Yakitori house is good but they're not really the same. The only thing you can get at both is the salad with the ginger dressing. Yum! Other than that the food is different. Yakitori is a nice choice for a quick lunch or snack.

We always make it a point to go to Teppanyaki in our trips, and during our last trip we tried Yakitori House for lunch. It was great for a quick lunch, and it was air-conditioned, which was great since a lot of the counter service type restaurants have outdoor seating. Plus, we missed a huge downpour, and by the time our lunch was over the rain had stopped. I would say it's a great place to go for a snack or quick lunch, but it's not gonna be a substitute for Teppanyaki. It's just different, as many of the above posters have stated, but still good. I really enjoyed the tempura shrimp and salad (love that dressing  ).

#1 Yakatori fan here! We always go. DD loves the Udon soup, and the combo plates are great for sharing and ancking. And the gardens are lovely. A nice quiet break from touring!

We love that garden and pond too. Wonderful in nice weather.

Yakatori House is Japanese fast food. Although it is good for counter service, if you are looking for something similar to Mitsukoshi Tempanyaki, you won't be satisfied.

Have you tried Tempura Kiku. It is on the same level as Tempanyaki and usually there is no wait to eat. It tends to be less expensive, the service is very good, as is the food. We eat there quite often. They don't take PS.

I am sad to report, that as of 12/04 Deb's site menu is no longer even showing that Yakitori House sells Yakitori any longer!

I hope that is a typo, it was very good!

We have been to both once. Yakitori was good but Teppenyaki was dissapointing. We will go back to Yakitori.
