Yak & Yeti

We ate there in August for dinner and while the food was good the dessert blew me away - those cream cheese wontons were the bomb!

Funny that I am posting on this because last night I was talking to my kids about where we are going to eat in May and they all requested that we go back here - I was suprised! Our waitress challanged our kids to eat all their food with the chop stix and when my dd was having trouble the waitress put rubber bands around the top of the stix making it much eaiser for my dd! They remembered that and want to do it again!!!

Is Yak & Yeti good for lunch & do you need an ADR? We rarely eat at AK,but we may make an exception this trip.

Wow, i'm so glad that everyone loved it.

We actually didn't love it as much...when you compare it to other Asian cuisine, at least what we have in NYC, I thought it would be a bit better.

The funny thing is we thought the appetizers and dessert were good, but the entrees pretty much bombed.

I'm glad everyone else enjoyed it though!!:goodvibes

Thank you for all the reviews :goodvibes
Me and my husband are going for the weekend at the end of the month and where suppose to go to ESPN again (we go here all the time, its my way of getting him to agree to go to Disney) but I talked him into trying a new place and out of the 3 I named this was his choice.. I called and got noon reservation and then thought I would see what everyone had to say. Im glad I booked it know :cool1:

AbbyPan, it could also depend on the entree. (I work in Chinatown in DC, so we get good asian food, too!)

We found that the more standard asian dishes, beef & broc, etc, were ok, not great. However, the fish dish was pretty good, and the steak was outstanding.

But I agree, the appetizers (but I can't get past the green beans) and the desserts are pretty darn good!

Yeah, that sounds about right. I had a chicken dish which was tasteless... However, I did enjoy the pot stickers, and you're right the green beans are pretty darn good ;)

We were there in February and ate outside at the quick service version of Yak & Yeti. It was horrible. Everything was prepackaged, overcooked and horribly bland. However, everybody raves about the table service and the food pictures look great. Next time we go, I'm going to try to plan a table service meal here.

My DH and I really LOVED the table service Yak and Yeti. We did not order appetizers, but our entrees were delicious and the desert was even better! I totally recommend it. Just don't do what we did! We went on Kali River Rapids right before our ADR and unfortunately were the losers of the ride (or winners if you like being soaked) and ended up going to dinner drenched. They advertise outside that they have an air conditioned dining room. That they do! We were shaking the whole time. It was hilarious. We never enjoyed the August heat as much as we did when we left that restaurant:cheer2:

We ate lunch there on our trip and we enjoyed it very much. We did make ADR's and I would recommend getting them.

I love the pho. If I can go sit at the bar and eat that I will never go near the counter service again

The fried green beans were amazing! We went when it first opened and it was good...I have heard it got even better though since! :)

arrggg, I cant get an ADR for this place been calling everyday. Wife wants it bad.

Can someone describe the greenbeans to me I know they are fried but what makes them so great??

My dd eats them nekkid, but for me, it's the dipping sauce! A sweet/spicy thai chili type of sauce. Now, I can't eat hot, but I do like spicy, and it's good! They have a bit of coating and are crispy. Kind of like (almost) healthy fries. Seriously, I tried to convince them to sell them as snacks for walking around the park.
