Yak & Yeti - where to request to sit?

I understand there are different levels and rooms at Y&Y. Is there a certain place that seemed more magical than others? I'd like to request a particular room so any advice on where to ask for - or where to ask NOT to go is appreciated. Thanks!

I wouldn't say there's a bad seat any where. Since it's a bunch of small rooms so it never feels crowded, and there's plenty to see.

With that said, there are second floor window seats which overlook the sidewalk/ parade route, and those would probably be the seats to go for, whether it's during the parade or just to people watch. Good luck, you'll love it, the food was great!!

We were there last month and I would highly recommend you find another place to eat. The food was mediocre at best and it was expensive. We were sorry we wasted our money. It will probably get better as it ages but it was really bad. We likened it to one of those mall food Chinese restaurants with La Choy products and mystery meat. We had the sweet and sour chicken and it seemed like the chefs had run out to the local McDonald's acquired some chicken Mcnuggets, slathered them with sweet and sour sauce and served them warm and soggy. I will say that the wonton soup was ok. Maybe we were just there on an off day but I wouldn't suggest it to anyone.

If you are on the fence about the food it can be sampled at the counter service next door. We had egg rolls and honey chicken, it was pretty good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. We weren't looking for sit down though, so it was the perfect option for us.

I second the second floor window seating. Very nice peoplewatching! I also have to disagree about the food. We were there for lunch the second day after opening. Bob had the Chicken Lo Mein (ok). I had the Pho and it was amazing! There must have been 20 shrimp in it, and the side seasonings just made it perfect. We both had the sorbet trio for desert and it was very tasty.

Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their meal, and the servers got lots of compliments. Yes, it is a bit pricey; but what at Disney isn't? The theming is beautiful and we will definitely be going back.

I would like to try the CS and see what that is like, as well.

I have not dined there yet, but from the pictures, the window seating on the 2nd floor does look nice as the previous poster mentioned.

Just so you know, the bartender there told me that the upstairs closes in mid-afternoon.

I think everyplace in there is attractive-you can't go wrong.
