We have a December 9-14 trip planned and have all our ressies made. Just trying to tweek them now.

A couple of years ago we got a ressie at 50's PT at 6:45 with a 7pm park closing. We didn't get sat down until 6:55 and the service was horrible, the food was horrible and without going into a ton of detail, I will say, it was soooo obvious they were wanting to go home and were trying to get us out of there. Soooo I have a fear of making another ressie so close to closing time.

Currently AK closing is set for 7pm. When I booked my reservations, I made a lunch reservation but just recently a 6:45 ressie became available. I changed my ressie to the 6:45 but now I am second guessing myself.

For those of you that have eaten at Y&Y close to closing, can you share your experience please. I definitely prefer dinner to a large lunch but I just don't want a repeat of the last fiasco.

I love yak & yeti. I would doubt that AK will keep the 7pm close and it will likely get later, however, we loves the reservations right before closing there. When leaving the restaurant we get some awesome pictures of the scenery and our kids with no one around. That in and of itself is a perk in my opinion. I'd keep it!

We have never felt rushed out. Most employees at a restaurant likely know with a 7pm close that they will be working until at least 8pm. No worries.

I did a 5:45 reservation when AK closed at 6:00. Walking out and seeing shops lit up was a beautiful experience (but then, I'm a big AK fan). Fortunately, there were CMs stationed at intersections to help guide me out, since AK after dark can be hard to maneuver. No trouble getting the bus. I've also done Yak and Yeti for lunch and although I enjoyed it then, I'd choose a late dinner.
