Working on ADR planning for November. Would Yak & Yeti or Boma be a better option? There will be 4 adults, 1 child & 1 infant. 2 adults and the child will be on DDP; the other 2 adults will be pay-to-play.

It depends if you don't mind being in Animal Kingdom...then Yak and Yeti is fine. If you rather not be forced to do Animal Kingdom for a meal...then Boma. However, that being said....The meals at Yak and Yeti leans toward the Asian flair vs. Boma is African style and spices. And Boma is buffet where Yak and Yeti is ala cart. Both are nice.

We're going to be in AK that day anyway, so it wouldn't be a special trip just for the restaurant.

It would depend on the AK hours for me first off. If it is open late that night for EMH and you are on property, then I might go for Y&Y. But if it is normal hours, then I would probably plan dinner at BOMA after the park closes.

Also, the Y&Y is not inexpensive and I think those paying will get so much more for their money at BOMA, those on DDP can pick up more variety such as appetizer things, salad and soup you will not get on the plan.

Not sure whats on the kids menu at Yak & Yeti, but, I would say Boma. The adults can pig out on everything, perhaps trying something new, while the kids will probably be happy with the roasted chicken, prime rib ,mac & cheese and an assortment of desserts. If you decide Bomas, eat light at the park!

Never been to Boma but Yak and Yeti was very good when we went last November..we had a great view of animal kingdom from the 2nd floor...

My plan for my AK day is to get the latest possible ADR for Yak & Yeti, then hopefully walk out of the park after it's mostly cleared of guest. At EPCOT I know you can get ADRs that are very close to park closing, I've got my fingers crossed for something close to 5:00. It just seems it would be such a peaceful park when it's empty. I've already been to Boma several times though, so Y&Y is a new one to check off my list. HOWEVER If you've never been to Boma or AKL it is an experience not to be missed.
