Yak & Yeti CS

Just wondering if anyone had tried the Y&Y CS. Is the food pretty good?

We just tried it for the first time last week. Ate there twice. Here's what my family liked:

DD (6) had both the chicken bites meal and egg roll meal. Loved them both - cleaned her plate.

DD (9) had the kids egg roll meal and liked it so much she went for the adult portion on our second visit.

DH had the egg rolls and a basket of fries. The fries were very good - he's a big fan of fries and really liked theirs (I know, not exactly what you think of when you're thinking about asian food). The egg rolls are the best we've ever had. The filling was more like that of a pot sticker, and the outside was fried perfectly.

I had the honey chicken. It tasted like sweet and sour chicken that was sweetened with honey. I had read many good reviews on it and decided to give it a try. It was just ok for me (I'm not a big fan of sweet and sour sauce), but incredibly filling. On our second visit I tried the fried rice and it was fantastic.

It was very busy both times we were there. Also, all the seating is outside and hard to come by during peak lunch hours. Is it worth it? I'd have to say yes - we made a 2nd unplanned trip to AK during our visit just to eat there again. It was a really refreshing change from the usual burgers and pizza you find at most CS restaurants.

My family enjoyed it. i thought it was really good for a counter service meal. I would definitley eat there again.

I had the lo mein lunch from there - same as above - it was good, but not great. It just wasn't very flavorful. I liked that it was something different than your usual CS - and the portions were huge. I'm a big eater, but I was alone & couldn't finish it. There is a neat little cart that sells egg rolls for like $1.50 in Asia, if you need a quick snack, and aren't eating a meal at Yak & Yeti.

I had the shrimp lo mein and I thought it was great. Mine had a lot of flavor. Maybe you just got a bad serving. The rest of my family got pizza so I enjoyed that it was something different than normal pizza.

What is in the egg rolls at Yak & Yeti?

Are they the same as the ones in the cart in Asia or are they different?

I'll only eat vegetable eggrolls. Thanks
