I read somewhere that if you get a 3:15 ADR at Y&Y and request a window seat you can watch the parade from your table. Is this correct? How good a view is it (this is the only day we have planned for the parade)? How busy would it be at 3:15 so how likely would we be to get the window view? Any experience would be helpful.

Thanks. :goodvibes

I didn't actually eat there during the parade but did have a window seat and I would say that you do have a "small" view of the parade route, but it wouldn't be that great. My best parade viewing advice for AK parade is try to catch it when it circles back in Africa (near Tusker House) all the people who were waiting for the parade will be gone and you can easily get a seat in the front to watch it when it comes back around the circle to exit the park near KS. I wouldn't think that a 3:15 dining time would be very difficult, especially if you are trying to do this for the AC!

We ate there during parade time and had an upstairs table by the window (totally unplanned and unrequested). From our table, there was a fairly large tree out front and it blocked most of the direct views of the parade route. Some of the other tables further down (we were pretty much directly center upstairs) may have not been quite so blocked by the tree.

DH and I ate there in June, arrived around 4 pm and sat by the windows....the place was empty. We had the best view of the parade in the a/c!
