Yak & Yeti ADR Question..

I just tried making a ressie for 11/12 for Dinner & was told by the CM I couldn't because this restaurant doesn't allow you to make ressies prior to 180 days. I aksed why not, I am staying at a Disney resort & I thought you can book the 180 + 10 days rule & she dais this restaurant is excluded.

Is this true? The reason why I ask is the CM's on the phones have givem mis-information in the past so I just want to make sure this right.

Yes, we had that problem with Yak & Yeti as well. We were able to book it 3 days later. They said Yak & Yeti was not in the system that far ahead when we booked at our 180 day out. Didn't understand it...but we got it.

I would tell you to keep trying. When one CM says no, another one down the line will say yes.

I believe this because Yak & Yeti is not a Disney owned restaurant. I think it is a Landry's.

Last year I was told this for Raglan Road and Wolfgang Puck Cafe also. I'm not sure when they open up for ressies, but I was also told to call those restaurants directly and given phone numbers.

Thanks Everyone!! I will keep trying, worst case is I call on sat at my 180 day mark!! I just never trust what the Cm's say..

When I called to book my vacation, I aske dfor any discounts, the CM said no sorry, I got a price quote, reviewed w/ my DH, called back a couple hours later, I aksed agin to check for a code, & viola, I got 20% off...GO FIGURE!!!

Y&Y as well as some others (Wolfgang Puck Cafe, etc.) are not Disney-owned. For whatever reason, these restaurants are not available for booking until 180 days from the date you intend to dine there. If you call back 180 days from that date as opposed to your arrival date, you should not have a problem.

I had the same problem when I booked for August. I was able to all my ADRs except this one. I just called back the next week without a problem.

Yak & Yeti gives a discount for annual passholders. I think it was 10%. And I think it only applies to food (not drinks), and maybe it's only entrees.

Y&Y is not a disney owned restaurant, so it doesn't follow the exact same rules... there have been issues with other things for people using the DDP at Y&Y as well...

We had the same problem booking for late Oct - the CM told us it had to do with it not being owned by Disney. We had to wait 2 or 3 extra days - when we called back, we got exactly what we wanted, though.
