Just wondering if anyone has eaten at Yak n Yetti's yet. We have ADR there and was wondering if it was going to be worth the trip. :surfweb:

I have been anxiously awaiting a reply. Thanks for your help. I think we will keep it. Ya never know until you try for yourself. What worries me the only Asian food we have around in SE MO are not your typical Asian Resturants.

Thanks again........:thumbsup2

We just got back today from a 6 day trip. Had a wonderful time and a lot of great food. Unfortunately, Yak and Yeti wasn't some of that great food.
My husband will describe it as food court Chinese gone bad. I had the combo appetizer (I forget what it was called, but had 3-4 different things in it). It only tasted good if we dumped it in the soy sauce. I had chicken; my husband had beef - both had fried rice. The rice was undercooked and the chicken was more chewy than crunchy.
I am very disappointed. I was really looking forward to it.
It is a nice restaurant in appearance - they just need some consistent cooking.
Enjoy your trip!

We really enjoyed it when we went in Dec. The food was good and the service was great. We had the fried green beans. YUMMY. I had the honey chicken, DH had wonton but I don't remember the entree. So sorry. The kids all had cheeseburgers. We really enjoyed the place. I say go for it. You won't know until you try it.

Reviews are quite mixed on this place. If the menu looks good to you, give it a shot. For every place, there are people who love it and hate it.

Moving to main dining board for more reviews.

Was it the CS or TS part of Yak & Yeti? I have read great reviews for the TS but terrible for the CS

There have been mixed reviews on the TS. Personally we loved it. I had the rib dinner and my Dh had a fish dinner. We always ask for suggestions at new rest. and our waiter suggested these dishes and they were excellant. Base on our dinner we will be going back.

If it's a special trip just to eat there--no, it's not worth it.
If you are the AK anyway, it's OK.

We've only had an appetizer there at the bar. It was very nice, hot and fresh and quite tasty. I'm not sure I'd have a full meal there. We have far too many choices for authentic Asian here in Orlando for us to want a full meal of theme park Asian.

We ate there in January (last minute thing as we were walking by) and we really loved it. I wasn't sure there was anything I liked on the menu but what I ordered turned out to be great.

The desserts were awesome as well.

We had a nice window seat and it was fun to watch people stroll by.

We really liked it when we went in December. There's a review in my trippie below (sorry..I'm running out or I'd post it for you here)

:thumbsup2 This was the best meal of our trip in February.:thumbsup2 Service and food was amazing. We ate wok fried green bean appetizer (awesome!), duck (so crisp & moist), tempura shrimp, and cream cheese wontons. It also enjoyed a delicious bloody mary.

Try everything at least once. Everyone's taste vary. It seems like most of the bad reviews were early on when the restaurant was working out the glitches!

We definitely will be returning on our next trip in October.

We ate there in early December and it was very good. We already have a reservation for it for our summer trip!
If you need to see photos, there are some on our homepage (WDW food - AK) and a review in my December 07 trip report.

We ate there Thursday night. I had the lightly battered mahi mahi and it was a HUGE portion. Sauce was spicy, but the rice was plain rice, not the jasmine rice. DH had the duck and it was perfectly cooked, although the sauce (served on the side) was cloyingly sweet. We shared the dim sum platter and it was good but the portion was not worth $12.99.
