i know their has been talk on here about this resturaunt but I was wondering what type of food they will serve and what type of atmosphere they are going for? I hope something fun AK needs a fun resturaunt. Also do you know when they will be taking reservations?

Hi,

Yak and Yeti will serve "Pan-Asian" cuisine, and no one knows when--or if--they will take reservations.

I found this at WDW News while looking for some other stuff:

This November, guests who travel to the land of Asia in Disney's Animal Kingdom will get a real taste of that exotic part of the world with Yak & Yeti Restaurant. Inspired by the western Himalayan foothills in India and Nepal, this Asian-fusion establishment will offer table-service dining and a full-service bar, as well as quick-service food and beer-garden options, and retail offerings from Pan-Asia ranging from silk purses, incense and saris to fine teapots. It will seat 250 inside for table-service dining and 350 in a quick-service courtyard

I was hoping to go in October but it sounds more like November according to this.

Please excuse my ignorance, but can someone give me an example of what entrees would be served? Is this spicy food? :confused3 I'm always willing to try new things as long as heart burn doesn't come along with it.

Had to dig this back up. Was buried. Can someone please give me an example of what would be on the menu? Spicy? So on.

Hi,

Pan Asian is a geographic term, not a food term. It means the cuiseine will be from across Asia rather than simply Chinese or Japanese or Thai, etc.

Thank you. Feel silly not knowing. But now I do. :thumbsup2

Let me start this post by saying BY NO MEANS AM I INSINUATING THAT PF CHANG'S IS ASSOCIATED WITH the YAK AND YETI or THAT THIS IS THE ACTUAL MENU.

That said, we have a restaurant (a chain) named PF Changs near us and their food is what I consider "pan-Asian". Here is their menu.

I am hoping that the Yak will have sushi however.
