Anybody heard anything about when the Yak and Yeti will be open? Has anyone made an ADR yet or are they still not accepting them? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

as of last night they were not accepting them (sat night) and they did not have any info except she had heard they would be opened for the thanksgiving holidays-

I just called and was able to make my ADR for Donald's Breakfast Safari for 12/20.
I asked about Yak & Yeti and was told not yet :sad1:

I called yesterday and was told not yet. I just read on another thread that they are making ADRs for Tusker House. I am going to make that reservation in a few minutes and I will ask again about Yack & Yeti.

Just called a few seconds ago. They are only taking ADR's for Tusker House but not for Yak.

:sad2:

I read on allearsnet website that the opening has been pushed back until 11/14- hope this helps!!

Working away on outside doing regular and creative work on Sept 20th.....but it has a ways to go.

Hopefully they are working furiously on the inside.......but the windows looked like they just got installed.

The windows were new they didn't have those when I was there on 9/14. I'm disappointed that it's taking so long to open, but I heard it was the same group that did Teppan Edo and now is no longer allowed to work at Disney after this project is finished (a rumor I read somewhere, so it could be very false)

My guess would be the insides were pretty raw because I doubt they would do alot of work with no windows in hurricane season. If they are taking ADRs for Tusker with a later opening date and not Yak.......I'll bet Yak gets pushed back again.

We are going in March and I am just praying that it will be open by then!!!

I have a day in my December vacation schedule that I have been holding open for Yak n Yeti. Now I am thinking I should go ahead and fill the spot with some other restaurant until I hear otherwise...

I hope that they put the fried chicken sandwiches into the Yak and Yeti since they are closing down Tusker House. They were so good!

Wow! By the look of the pictures, I would say they have months of work ahead of them. Maybe I'll get to eat there in May '08.

I hope not! :sad1: I have left 12/27 open for dinner there! Maybe I should look into the new Tusker House buffet (DH hates buffets though!):sad2:

It's certainly looks that way, but from my experience, it's typical Florida construction. Drag your heels for 6 months, then all out panic, 24/7 for the final 2 weeks to open on time...I'm sure Disney management will be putting the hammer down on the GC sooner rather than later.

WAIT...does this mean Tusker House is still open? Do you think I'll be able to get a lunch ADR for next week?!?

*fingers crossed*

6 more sleeps to go until my first WDW trip ever!!! :cheer2:
