Making plans for our May adult trip and trying to decide if I should include this for dinner one night. We're also doing Boma (B/D), Cape May, CP, Afternoon Tea, Tonys, Le Cellier so looking for some new ones to throw into the mix. :)

Thanks!

I've heard bad things about the food (I live in Orlando). The restaurant's artistically pretty though. It's worth a test drive if you want to try something new. Why not, right?

We're going to try it in July. It does make me concerned though to read so many negative comments about it. I guess we're taking the approach of don't knock it till you try it.

I guess there's been some negativity about the place floating around, but a few people have said they really like it, and I'm one of them. I highly reccomend at least trying it. It's become a must do every trip from now on. Our server was great, the food was yummy, and the atmosphere was awesome.

We loved it. We tried it when they first opened and it was one of the best dinenrs we had. I think everything is worth one try.

Hello fellow Texan. I live about 20 miles east of Dallas. Anyway, if you want to eat at Yak & Yeti you would probably need to call ASAP. I made my ADRs for my May 3rd-10th trip a month or so ago. I was unable to get Yak & Yeti for dinner the entire week, but was able to snag a lunch ADR for May 9th. I believe it is hard to get into, just because it is fairly new.

Thanks for all the input! I made arrangements for the 11th for dinner so I have my fingers crossed. I'll review it for sure. It would be nice to have a table service place in AK we like so I hope we love it!

Thanks again!

aubriee - I'm right by DFW airport...small world! :)

Went to table service restaurant on February 7 th. The food was great. We will be eating there again next trip.:cool1: :thumbsup2

We ate there the first day it opened...in fact we were family number 2 hahaha... but we really liked it. And are going back for our May Trip

We'll be giving it a try for lunch on our upcoming trip. I figure that way we'll know if we like it or not and form our own opinion. Hopefully I'll come back with a good review!

My DW and I ate there a few weeks ago and thought it was very good! I wonder if they have some fine tuning going on and so have had some misses as they get going. I also wonder if they are being cautious with the flavors. Some of the dishes can have some "distinctive character" that many may not go for. I had the Pho for example, a noodle/soup dish, that came with the garnishes on the side. With that you could spice it up with chilis and fish sauce as you like. The server did point out that the fish sauce strong and the chilis hot and that I should be careful with it.

Overall, we enjoyed it and plan on going back.

We loved the Yak and Yeti Tableservice restaurant! We cannot wait to go back in August. I have photos of the food on my tripreports - homepage if someone is interested.

We ate there last month for dinner. There was 10 of us and we all agreed it was very good. My dad and my father in law had the crispy fried mahi and it was delicious. I had the ribs and they were great. My mom had the duck, she and my DS7 loved it. I foget what everyone else had but there were no complaints. Our server was was very surly but he was a lot of fun. I would go back again.

I agree with Pixiedusted. You should probably try it.
We did lunch there in December. Pretty ordinary Chinese food for the most part and portions not up to the size you get in most shopping mall Chinese spots. The restaurant is pretty inside.

We ate there in December. My DH declared it to be our best meal of the entire trip, and we ate at other place like Kona, and LeCellier. We will definitely be making an ADR for our next trip in October.

We loved the wok fried green beans, tempura shrimp, duck , and cream cheese wonton dessert! Food and service were awesome. I had the best bloody mary ever!

Try everything at least once, everyone tastes vary on this board.

Thanks, you just listed what I plan on ordering (fried green beans, duck, and cream cheese wonton dessert). Glad they're good!
