Yak and Yeti Restaraunt ??

I was wondering if the Yak and Yeti restaraunt is Still on schedule to open 11/15.. and i was wondering if anyones planning to be there opening day

"Asian Fusion," whatever their interpretation of that means. It could mean anything from Japanese to Chinese to Thai to Indian to Mongolian to ... you get the picture. Maybe just dishes "inspired by" those cuisines. It all remains to be seen...

That is too funny! We hope to go to the Yak and Finally Yeti next March and I have reservations at Tusker House just in case ... but still hoping to get ADR's for Y&Y.

Last I heard, they were still supposed to be opening November 17th (I think that's the date I heard), but they're not taking reservations yet. So I guess for those looking for a walk-in resturaunt next month or so, consider that one if that's the case. I cannot understand why a resturaunt still isn't taking reservations only 2 weeks before they're supposed to open.

I thought it was interesting that the winter Monitor listed the re-opening date for Tusker House but not a date for Yak & Yeti -- which was the header for the little article/blurb.

I have reservations for the first day I arrive in Jan. DD is in love with the Yeti and has several souveniers of him. (pins, t shirt, stuffed animal etc) She cant wait. I do agree that while the name is amusing it does not sound appetizing.

We were there 10/21 - 10/28 and from the outside it didn't look like it would be ready that soon. There were places on the sides of the buidling where you could still see the Tyvek wrap - no siding yet.

I called Thursday (two days ago) and they still weren't taking ADRS -- are you SURE it's Yak and Yeti?

Edited to add: I JUST got off the phone with Disney Dining and a very nice cast member told me not yet but even THEY are waiting patiently (some of us -- like me -- aren't that patient however LOL)

I have been calling every Saturday. Was going to get on the phone in a few minutes. Guess it will be a waste of time. Sure hope I find out soon enough after waiting all this time. I want to go there for our trip in March. I wanted to book for the 22nd.
