Apparently that is not a full menu.

But what's with the kung pao beef, but no chicken? Ugh.

I agree. Let's hope there's more on the menu.

Goofyish, how would a nice curry do? You know, I've never had a proper curry.

You have never lived until you have sampled a really nice Indian curry - there are so many to chose from to satisfy all tastes. From the very mild and creamy Kormas to the red hot Vindaloos and Phals :)

Now that would be living- if they got some good indian food in the World. Unfortunately there are so many people who request the dumbing down of Disney Food that we'll never really see anything with real flair or favor except perhaps in a signature.

one day till people who visit AK can start updating and letting the rest of us who aren't in WDW about what is on Y&Y's menu!

I can't wait to try this place in December!

A few years ago there used to be a stand right at the entrance to Asia serving a good curry chicken and rice dish. Does anyone remember that stand?

DH and I hope to try out the CS option...he's not a big fan of "Asian fusion" food, but it's brand new so how can we not go!? I'm betting that's just a general sampling of the menu. Can't wait to hear reports tomorrow about what it's like!

As a lover of Indian food I was really looking forward to this restaurant - but it looks like it's just a pretty standard Chinese :confused3

The Himalayan region is neighboured by Nepal, Indian and Tibet not China (although Tibet is part China). I would have expected at least a representative offering of cuisine of the area :(

This is truly ashame although not surprising. I was really hoping for something different than typical chinese I can walk down the street and get for a lot cheaper.

I am not a huge lover of Indian food, so it sounds good to me! We plan to do lunch there in May. The CM I spoke to yesterday did say that Yak and Yeti is on the 2008 dining plan, will not accept DDE, and will start taking ADR's on Dec 3.

That menu is terribly underwhelming--a real stretch of the term "pan-Asian".
Agree! This is too bad!

Shame there are no Indian style dishes there, a curry would have been something different and in keeping with the theme :(

Claire ;)

I will wait until it opens before passing judgement. I'm guessing (hoping) that the menu posted is for the counter service. Can't imagine them both having the same menu.

I think this is a shame for those who have waited for this restaraunt to open. This is just overly $$$$ priced chinese food. I'm definitely not a fan of Indian cuisine but for those that are or those individuals willing to try it for the first time, this is a major disappointment. :sad2: I don't think that anyone who has a budget in mind should pay for this kind of food, especially when you can go outside of the park and get a decent chinese food dinner for a family of 4 for less than $30.
I don't really know if Disney is paying any attention to their dining venues and the very few choices they are giving their guests. Also it really doesn't matter that's it's new! I really don't know:confused3 where I'll be eating when I go to AK in 2008 but will definitely have to plan other options than this one.

That's true!

We have so many great Indian restaurants in the UK :thumbsup2

I am slowly working my way up, started at a Korma, then a Tikka Massala, and have recently upgraded to a Dopiaza  But I will have a Sheek Kebab! Suits all tastes, if you're a wimp like me, or a spice lover like DBF!

I'm hungry now, WDW could do with a good Indian! I hope the menu gets better - sounds like Nine Dragons to me!!

I guess I'll be keeping my RFC reservation for lunch while we're at AK. That menu looks horrible - nothing more than a chinese place. I was really looking forward to a good asian restaurant too. Maybe someone will read the boards and realize people want a little flavor with their food..... :confused3
