yak and yeti: malaysian curry and PHO

Saw someone mention how good the malaysian curry was but don't see it on the current posted menu. can anyone confirm whether it's currently being offered?

also, can't find anyone who has tried the PHO at Y/Y - would love to hear some comments.

Thanks!

Pho has been off the menu for a couple of years now. That may be why you haven't seen anyone who tried it. I liked it when they had it, although it probably wasn't very authentic.

All I can say about Yak and Yeti is if you don't try the fried wontons and pineapple, there is no point in going there.

Seriously, I thought I heard angels singing when I bit into that. :littleangel:

Plus it was a $17 bowl of soup.:confused3

OMG! A GREAT bowl of Pho in our city costs only $6.95. I can't imagine paying more than $12 for a simple bowl of Pho, even if it's Disney.

I wouldn't have called it a simple bowl. It was a LARGE bowl and contained a lot of shrimp. Shrimp are not cheap, and there is the Disney markup. But I can see how some would think that was ridiculous.

Hmm...too bad it's now off the menu. I can see my older DD ordering something like that - she loves shrimp and pho.

I should clarify what a "simple bowl of pho" is in Vancouver. It's a large bowl of rice noodles in soup topped with:
1. Either beef balls OR shrimp OR rarebeef slices OR tripe
2. Cilantro, bean sprouts, a sprig of basil, a sprig of mint.
All for $6.95. Comfort food for a lot of Asians in our city.

You're not going to get a bowl full of reasonably sized shrimp at WDW for $6.95 at any rate. At WDW that is barely enough for a kids' meal.

I know, I wouldn't pay it for anything I could get at home either.
