Yak and Yeti...is it good???

We sat at the bar and had appetizers. The Dim Sum and the lettuce wraps were surprisingly good. Neat atmosphere.

We sat at the bar and had full meal.

Potstickers were very good. The duck was excellent.
LoMein..I like it seared in the wok..it was good but a little sticky.

The ladies beside us had those lettuce wraps, they said they were excellent.
They also had something else they said was excellent as well.

The reviews I have seen seem to be hit or miss with this restaurant.
AS with all reviews, take them with a grain of salt as we all have different tastes and enjoy different things..so go and give it a try for yourself!

We sat at the bar last week and ordered appetizers and drinks. The Wok Fried Green Beans and Lettuce Cups are AMAZING! :lovestruc I didn't try any meals off of the menu. I did try the CS later on, and the Honey Chicken was just so-so.

We had lunch there in late Jan. It was very good. I was pleasantly suprised. I would definitely reccommend as some of the best food in AK.

The restaurant critic for the Orlando Sentinel gave it a terrible review a few weeks ago, but he did comment that the green bean appetizer was very tasty. He tried the Shaoxing steak and shrimp and the crispy mahi mahi but it sounds likes his review would have been more favorable if he had tried the duck instead.

We ate there in early '08 - everything was very tasty with the exception of the "tempura" shrimp. Fried shrimp it was, tempura it wasn't. But the steak part of the meal was FABULOUS! DH had the duck - awesome. DD had the sweet & sour shrimp - also very good. Overall we enjoyed everything except the tempura shrimp. I should have known though - since it's a Landry's concept along the lines of Rain Forest Cafe, the shrimp there isn't the best either - too much puffy breading, not enough shrimp. We eat at RFC quite a bit (DCs' fave restaurant for celebrations) so we are pretty familiar w/ their food and we enjoy most of it, but some things are just not a good value. But anyway, we'll definitely be back to Y&Y for sure!

All the positive reviews on the duck have me hopefull that it's improved. When I went in December, I had the duck and was disappointed it was kind of dry. Sounds like I might give it a second chance-I like good duck.

We ate there when it first opened... good service, but we have to say entrees were not wonderful...appetizers were good..

We are going for the first time in April, I think we are going to order a couple appies and then share the BBQ ribs...anyone had the ribs??

Ate there last week and loved it!
Our waitress was so sweet and so accomodating. Most of the servers looked very friendly. The atmosphere was nice and so is the location. It's easy to walk right off of EE and go grab some lunch. I ordered the Crispy Honey Chicken and loved it.
:thumbsup2

Glad to hear the good reviews. We are trying Yak and Yeti in September with our best friends. :cool1:

based on all these comments, i'm thinking it depends on what you order. the dining reservation lady i spoke with today highly recommended it, but maybe they are supposed to be "steering" people that way lol

I've had the Baby Back Ribs. Very tender and the hoison sauce is sweet, but not overly so. The portion size is pretty good for the price. I'd order them again. :thumbsup2

OOOOHHHH, Mrs. Disney Ron, I am with you. That duck has my mouth watering as we speak!!! I think I just might make ressies there for our trip down in a couple of weeks!!! :thumbsup2
