LOTS of cilantro and you can add more if you want to.

My 6 year old had the lo mein, and ate it all. But beyond that I don't know-- she loves lo mein and would have eaten it all no matter what :)

Boy, this is one of my favorites! Totally lived up to the high expectations the DIS built up before I could check it out myself.

Loved the lettuce cups (by the way more than enough for 2) and the crispy mahi mahi. YUMYUM, can't wait until I get me some next month. :)

Thanks! I just need to see if I can get it with chicken instead of shrimp (I'm allergic) like I do here at home. It looks SO good.

They really are more than enough for 2! We were on the deluxe dining plan and goodness at the amount of food we had! We are going with my 2 sisters, 2 nephews, dad and step-mother in January and we will do lots of sharing this year. This way I get a little bit of everything I love. YAY!!!

I had completely forgotten about the desserts - they were so unique and just as tasty as can be. Thanks for posting those great pics...I may just try something else as we are returning next month for a late lunch there!:cool1:

That is so true!! I was not sure it could live up to my high expectations, but it sure did. I was paying OOP, so I got green beans for the appy, the ribs and the wontons. It was yummy, and I was so full! Plus, it was a welcome break from the heat in AK.

I absolutely LOVED Yak and Yeti on our last trip. We actually walked in for an early lunch with no thought about it beforehand, and it was by far the best meal of my trip.

I got the ribs. I LOVE ribs, and they were seriously some of the best I have ever had, anywhere!!!! Fall off the bone, perfect sauce, not fatty, very meaty. The ONLY problem was we were in the park for the day, so no way to really take leftovers with us. I am a big food lover, and a big eater, and no matter hard I tried I could not finish them all. Had to leave a few of those succulent delights on the plate. :sad1: It hurt me to do it!

That said, I did order the cream cheese wonton dessert. Super-yummy-ummy. I don't know how I managed to continue touring after that meal, but I did. It was WONDERFUL!

A few people have posted that it is a great spot to catch the afternoon parade, especially if dining upstairs. We haven't done this, but it is something to keep in mind.

You guys have me ready to fly down there for a meal tomorrow! Too bad we don't have enough money do just do that. ;)

Wow, those are some ribs! Since we'll be in the villa's and not on the DDP (maybe), what kind of monetary damage would some of these meals do to one's wallet?

Yak & Yeti Menu

Check out that menu KS_Disney_Dad. It is enough for 2 people to share easily. If you get an app and dessert you will both be very full and probably still have something to take back.

Hope you don't mind me making so many posts and me posting some pictures.

Crispy Mahi Mahi - One of my husband's 3 favorite dishes ever
100_2555.jpg

This restaurant really just blew me away with how awesome everything was. I was completely impressed with how great the food was. The only thing I had that didn't blow my socks off was the wonton soup that I got on the 2nd trip. I didn't have room for the potstickers and was really missing them. The soup was good, but didn't come anywhere near the potstickers.

It seems like as long as you don't order something like Honey Chicken or Beef & Broccoli that you will get an amazing meal.

If you get an app and an entree you will have a ton of food so consider sharing!

What's the red sauce on the crispy mahi mahi?

Hey OP, I just noticed you will be at Disney the same time we are!andthanks for starting this t hread. We will be atingthere for the firs time this trip and I am uber excited! Looking forward to hearing everyones opinions!

Great! Yeah, I was jsut a bit worried, since the 2 previous AK dinners we did not like as a group (Boma and Tusker house)

That's a bummer :( Boma breakfast was out of this world, if you ever want to give that a chance! I hear tuskerhouse breakfast is as well!

What's the red sauce on the crispy mahi mahi?

According to the menu on AllEars it is a Cantonese sweet and sour sauce. My husband isn't a veggie eater and I wanted to eat the veggies on his plate so bad but I just didn't have the room. This time I'm saving some room for those veggies!

Oh, now I want to try Y&Y, and there is nothing available for lunch the day I will be in AK :sad1:

Don't always go by what they tell you when you call. On our last day they kept telling us they were full when we tried calling for a reservation. Be there when they first open, I'm thinking 11:30 - you need to check to be certain. We were seated right away. Don't give up on it just yet!
