Could anyone tell me about Yachtsmen. how is the food. Does anyone have pictures they can share. Is it worth the 2 dining credits from the dining plan. thanks in advance for any help.
there are some nice pics there. The food is delicious and worth the points in my opinion if your not going with young kids. The cost and style of the restaurant is lost on young ones. They also have a dress policy. I personally love the steak. I have had some shrimp dishes and crab cakes and they were also incredible.
This is now one our favorites! We had a wonderful dining experience there and our waiter was amazing. Since Yachtsmen, we have yet to go back to Le Cellier.
we went in July with our 2 kids ages 6 and 8 months. We did get a very early reservation since we didn't want to have our son disturb anyone being a baby and we had a wonderful server.
The food was fabulous. There were quite a few children so don't be intimidated. though mine were the youngest one older couple even commented how well behaved our little guy was.
Yachtsman Steakhouse and Le Cellier aren't really even comparable. It's like comparing an Outback Steakhouse to Morton's or Ruth's Chris. They both serve steak, but they are really completely different dining experiences. Yachtsman is more upscale, has better quality meat and mich better service.
Although we are definitely in the minority here, we do not like the Yachtsman's Steakhouse. WE have tried it 3 times and we do not care for the food. Like MickeyNickey's husband our steaks were fatty and the meal was not good. We are 3 adults and we were all disappointed. We will not go back.
Love the location, service has always been good. Restaurant has always been a more adult atmosphere, quiet, a great place to share a meal and some conversation.
The filets I have had here have been fine. The other steaks I have had (NY, ribeye) have been fatty and actually a bit tough to even cut.
The side dishes you can order separately are very good.

We've dined there 2 or 3 times, and the meal has been excellent for both food and service. While I don't find any restaurant worth burning 2 TS credits from the DDP, the Yachtsman (along with the Flying Fish) comes closest.
