Just wondering people's opinions. Which would you choose if you could only do 1. Yachtsman or Le Cellier? Thanks for the help.

We have dined at both many times, and both are great. I assume you are going for dinner, since the Yachtsman is not open for lunch. If I could only choose one, I think I would go with the Yachtsman. We never use the dining plan, but I know they have made Le Cellier a signature restaurant for dinner now and to me, it is not in the same category as Yachtsman.

I would also choose YS. I've dined at both - when I went to Le Cellier my DH and I felt like we were sitting on top of the table right next to us. It was very loud and crowded and even though we enjoyed the Cheddar Cheese soup and Pretzel bread - the rest of the meal, including the steaks, was not great.

At YS, the tables are little more spacious and the service was excellent. And you can't beat the aged steaks there!

Im with you about Le Cellier....first off, i didnt think the bread & soup was that great. It was ok. But certainly not to die for. The steaks were very disapointing. Tasteless and fatty. (I ordered the strip steak). I also wasnt impressed with the decor. Too crowded. I've tried it once....gave it a shot...and i can honestly say i wouldnt go back. Go for yachtsman.

I would go with Yachtsman. Le Cellier was good but I think it is extremely overrated. I did not like the cheddar cheese soup (did like the pretzel bread). The service was good but (call me crazy) I found the restaurant rather shabby looking and the tables were too close. It is not worth 2 dining credits.

We ate at both places this past week. Originally we were going to do Le Cellier for lunch (since its only 1 credit then) but decided to switch to a dinner instead. It was AWFUL. The soup wasn't that impressive (although the bread was). My DH had the lobster chop salad which he raved about, but then when the meal came it was all out disappointment. I had the filet, he had the strip and neither cut of steak compared to the cuts at the yachtsmen.

Yachtsmen had great service and great food. My only let down was I ordered my steak medium-rare but it was served medium (I was too hungry to send it back) but it was delicious nonetheless.

I actually prefer Le Cellier dinner to Yachtsman, but I didn't order steak at LC dinner (the lobster cobb salad and salmon were really good dishes). If you're mainly going for an impressive piece of steak, though, I think you should do Yachtsman.

Another vote for YS :thumbsup2

It's not even just the food (which is considerably better in YS in mine and DH opionion) but the atmoshpere and setting is so much nicer at YS

I wish more chose YS!. I have been only to LC, and I can not find a day in our 7 day plan with a open ADR!:sad2:. I had a ADR for YS,but canceled because it just look to high class for us. The steaks sounded good, but the appz and desserts did not look very appealing. We like la cellar, it has that old Europen restruant appeal. I did not find sitting so close was all that bad, kind of like biergarden and the new yourk steak I had was very good, no complaints here

Ever since LC became signature, I've heard nothing but 'overrated'. The Yachtsman, however? LOVE it. DH and I have gone on our past 3 trips and never have anything but good things to say about the entire experience.

They are both really good places but YS is slightly better. We dined there twice last month and loved it. I would pick YS any day over LC

Been to both. YS steaks were a cut above. Plus, I like the entrance where you get to view the steaks. I did like pretzel bread at Le Cellier. Since YS is a shirt walk from International Gateway entrance, I'm not sure distance/travel time is that much more significant.

The steaks sound really good but everything else seem so so:confused3
We had dinner at Yachtsman on Friday night. Ironically, I would say the appetizers and desserts beat Le Cellier dinner while the entrees and atmosphere didn't.
