Yachtsman Surf & Turf Question

A group of us are going to be eating at Yachtsman Steakhouse and we will be on the regular Dining Plan (with 1TS per night, etc.). I do know that the Yachtsman is 2 TS per person, but I know I will be asked if the Surf and Turf is included as part of the dining plan for the entree. Do any of you know about this? And have any of you had it and did you enjoy it? Thanks in advance!

Haven't had it, but yes, if it's on the menu, it's included.
It's often asked whether it is included, due to some perception of it being "so expensive" that it can't possibly fall within your credits. But the reality is, as you're burning 2 credits, it's really just a fair value on the plan. It's not like you're pulling a fast one on Disney. They advertise you can save up to 20% on the ddp -- and that's approximately what save by ordering the surf and turf.

OP, I am so glad you posted this. We are going to Yachtsman for the first time next month, and I had no idea they even had Surf and Turf. It's not listed on allears, but I noticed that it is listed on Disney's website. Can anyone tell me how large the lobster is? How big is the strip steak?

I had planned on getting the filet, but I will be eating a filet at Le Cellier the next day and a filet at California Grill the next. Would the Surf and Turf be a good option in order to add some variety to my meals?

Guess that's personal preference. Steak-Steak&lobster-Steak, doesn't seem like much variety to me. But then again, I can't fathom eating steak more than 1-2 times in a week. So if it was me, I'd order something else entirely... At California Grill, I had the ahi tuni, which was very very good. Haven't eaten at Yachtsman, but I'd probably have the King Salmon. Or I'd have steak at Yachtsman, and have the chicken at Les Cellier.

Haha. I guess it isn't much variety. I LOVE steak though and can't wait to eat as many filets as I can that week. And I would NOT go to Yachtsman or Le Cellier and not get steak--even if the meal was free! There will be enough variety in my other meals; we are eating at Via Napoli, Ohana, Artist Point (where I will get the salmon or scallops), Whispering Canyon Cafe, as well as a few CS places. I just figured a lobster would add some variety as well.

Can anyone tell me more about the Surf and Turf at Yachtsman? Definitely interested in this meal.
