yachtsman steakhouse?

My DH really wants to go to the Yachtsman Steakhouse... is it worth two credits on the DDP??? What have been your experiences with this place.. help me out please..

Yes, yes, and yes.

We've dined any number of times at this restaurant and have always been quite happy with our food and very pleased with our service.

Now, having said that, the very last time we were there we did notice a difference in the quality of the food.

DDP has done nothing to improve the dining experience at WDW.

I liked it..but really don't see it as 2TS. I don't think its a step up from Le Cellier. I think there are some better 2TS places like Cali Grill and Flying Fish.

As much as I like Cali Grill, I think that Yachtsman Steakhouse is FANTASTIC and completely worth the 2TS.

I've dined here both on the dining plan and paying OOP. Honestly, I don't think it's twice as good as Le Cellier (it certainly is not twice the price). So no, I don't think it's worth 2 dining credits.

My personal opinion is that none of the 2 credit restaurants are worth it, but of them all, Yachtsman is the best. I love the steaks, I have tried several with nothing to complain about on any occasion. My family raised black angus beef cattle, so I am no easily pleased diner in a steak restaurant.

ok.. now I have another question... for the two credits what is included, since each items are ala carte... is it the main entree , a side and dessert?

No it isnt worth it to us because Flying Fish has the most amazing NY Strip and the filet from Citrico's and BlueZoo are sooo much better than at the Yachtsman

Definitely worth it - we loved it! The steaks were amazing and so were the desserts....we splurges and got appys too, and the salads are AMAZING (not included on the DP though). I got the filet with mashed potatos (which I almost never eat - I'm not a mashed fan) I ate every bit of food on my plate - so good! The boys got the porterhouse, which I would have never thought they'd finish (24 oz of steak) - they both CLEANED them!

The service was also great!
