Yachtsman Steakhouse

We will be going June 17-27 and staying at CBR, we are on the dining plan and I have made reservations for the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Was wondering if any of you fellow disers have eaten here and what your opinions are? Thanks for any info!!

Also, if you do a search on this board you will find other opinions. My opinion is: if the menu appeals to you, give it a try! Never mind what anyone else says!

We had our parents night out dinner here. It was very good. I started with the artisan cheese sampler, had the new york strip steak and we shared the dessert sampler. Dh had the Pot steamed mussels, (he loved these) then he ate the cowboy angus steak (it is 20oz) and was happily stuffed. We waddled back to the world showcase to the monorail to get dd from the neverland club.

I loved the food but had the wicked witch of the west for a waitress. Yes, she truly did resemble her in looks and personality...

Ive eaten here 3 times and have had 3 amazing meals. Everything has been perfect!

I think I'm in the minority here, but we've been there twice and had bad experiences both times. Our complaints primarily stem from very bad service and a haughty attitude from cast members.

One of the few WDW establishments that we absolutely refuse to go back to.

We had decent service, but I wasn't overly impressed w/the food. Not bad, just not worth the money. It was not a meal that we remembered a week later when we would talk about WDW.

We've eaten there a few times including our wedding reception. The food and service has always been very good.

Yum! We eat there every trip. In December, we liked it so much we ate there twice. I had the filet and key lime pie both times and they were wonderful!

The food here was great and the service was even better. Oscar is great! He really made the night for my son's girlfriend even showing her how to open the wine. The dessert sampler was delicious.

We will be having our reception dinner here after our intimate wedding just 15 days away!

We very much enjoyed our visit - it was more casual and "family" then I expected but it was still very nice. Service and food were good. I will say that we ate Citrico's the next trip (5 months later) and it blew Yachtsman out of the water. But we would not hesitate to dine there again =)

We will be trying Yachtsman Steakhouse for the first time for our June visit~ can't wait!!!! It will be our last night dinner! Hope we enjoy our dinner too!!!

We (3 adults) ate here in October. It was the meal I most looked forward to on our entire trip. We all were disappointed and we will not return.
The setting is beautiful, the service was excellent but the food just did not appeal to us, and we are meat and potatoes folks. WE all felt that the food was overwhelmed by sauces etc.
But everyone has different tastes. If it appeals to you, go and enjoy!
