Hi! Has anyone eaten at the Yachtsman Steak house recently? How was it? Was it worth the cost? Is there a better steak someplace else? Thinking about this for a special dinner!!

We ate there for the first time this past December (we had the DlxDDP) and we loved it.....the filet was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife. We will definitely be going back :goodvibes. We also tried Artist Point at the WL and that was amazing as well :thumbsup2.

We have eaten there twice already, it is turning into one of our favorites. The filet is really tender and very delicious and the deserts are awesome. Definitely worth the money to go to.

yummmmmmy.....so, does anyone want to mention how much it costs for 2 adults????:goodvibes Its our anniversary, and looking for a special dinner!

Why not just check out the menu on the Disney website.... they also have the wine list posted! Decide what you might have and add it up..... way better than any estimate we can give.
Incidentally, though, my parents spend their anniversary there every year. Just let them know beforehand and they might.... might..... do something special just for you.

Yachtsman is always good - sometimes better than others - but a good choice. Dining at WDW is an event for us and we go all out, wine, appetizers, wine, entrees....wine....

I think our last dinner there for the 2 of us was around $125.

Were there in March. Service and food both very good. Cheese plate was awesome. They were also very accommodating to my 18 year old vegan daughter. They were expensive, but all fine dining and some not so fine, at Disney is.

We were just there at the end of August and it was the very best meal of our trip! My DS15 declared the porterhouse the best steaks he's ever had.

We had our anniverary dinner there last year and are heading back again in a couple of weeks. The service and food were both excellent!

Thanks for the menu advice!!

Question - there is no baked potato to go with?????? :surfweb:

Dh and I ate there on our 20th anniversary and last year on our 25th anniversary. The only thing that disappointed us last year was that guests were coming in wearing park wear instead of being dressed up.

It was a change from 4 years previously and due to that we propably won't eat there again for a special occassion. I did write to Disney and let them know that we didn't like the change in ambiance.

Don't know when that was, but that dinner would be quite a bit more now. We just ate here Sept 10th. Here's what we ate :DH: tomato/mozzarella salad; fillet, mashed potato & a coke. ME: lobster bisque, NY strip steak with mashed potato & an iced tea. COST: $140.90 BEFORE tip & please note, no wine/ alcohol ordered.

We were on the deluxe dining but opted to skip dessert ( we were staying club level & had dessert there). We were given a complimentery small dessert for our anniversary: small chocolate covered carmels. DH ate them, I didn't but he thought they were good.

The food & service was excellent. My NY strip was out of this world good! I love the flavor of a NY strip, but it is sometimes tough. Not this steak. It was almost as tender as any fillet I've eaten, but much more flavorful. DH loved his fillet, but he is pretty easy to please anyway. And they give roasted garlic to spread on your bread. Again, just yummy.

We ate steak @ several places & this was one of the best. None of them were bad tho, so it would be hard to say exactly which one was "THE BEST." We definately like Yachtsmans & be back next trip.

We ate there back in May for the first time in a couple years. We had avoided it for a while because we had a mediocre experience a couple years ago. This time around, things seemed to be much better. Food and service were both great, and we were not rushed at all, even though we had a late ADR and were one of the last out for the night.

We ate at Yachtsman with our three boys last month and really enjoyed it! I was familiar with the menu before making the ADR, but I read mixed reviews, so I wasn't sure what to expect. For reference, we really enjoy signatures!

While the Yachtsman menu isn't as interesting to us as Jiko, Flying Fish, Cali Grill or Bluezoo, the food was great, the service was low-key, friendly and efficient, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Very cozy and comfortable - and the CMs really added to that overall environment. Based on these factors, I'd include it in my list of favorite signatures. So if the menu looks good to you, then I absolutely recommend it!

We went in July it was wonderful. We loved our steaks they were even good as cold leftovers.

Cheese plate was the best I have had at a signature restaurant.

We will be going back in December.

We spent about 150 before time including apps and were were on dxdp.
