I would really like to try Yachtsman on our next trip in August. We are on the free dinning plan. We are a family of 4... me, hubby, DS age 10 considered adult, DS age 6. I am wondering if I would have any problems with both of my kids ordering from the kids menu. This is the first year that my 10yr old falls into the "adult" category and I just can't see him ordering one of the "adult" meals from Yachtsman. I would rather pay out of pocket and know he was eating something he was going to enjoy off the kids menu.

Thanks for your help!

We're in the same type of situation. My DD is newly 10 and we're on the DDP. She eats barely anything. What we did for two restaurants is to plan to pay OOP for her to eat off the kid menu. Then we use her adult credits for me and DH at another meal. She's only eating from the kids' menu for 2 meals (OOP). Then for the meal where DH and I use her credits, we'll have to pay for both kids OOP. It works well because we get an 'extra' TS meal and just pay for the kids to eat OOP!

Great idea!! Did you have any problems ordering from the kids menu for a 10 year old? No odd glances or questions?
At many of the restauraunts, I think we will be able to find something off the adult menu, but at a 2 credit restauraunt the meals get more "mature" for his taste.

No problem ordering off the kids menu for a 10 year old at Yatchsman. We've done it a few times.

So happy! This is great news, I really want to go!!! Now I just need to secure a reservation;).

Here is another question... for my 6 year old. If I use the ddp that would be 2 TS credits right? If the menus I see are accurate I should Pay oop for him too! The children's meals are not that expensive.... would hate to waste 2 credits on that.

Thanks to all!
