Any news on when Yachtsman Steak House will open back up? So crazy to me that Yacht and Beach are open but Yachtsman isnt.

This place was hugely disappointing when we went. Given the raves about it on this board I was expecting a meal on par with NYC's better steakhouses and it really didn't come close. It kinda felt like people who rave about Yachtsman have only ever been to Outback for setting their baseline for a great steakhouse experience.

No offense but this was your first mistake. This is WDW. There is some great dining on property but uh. Maybe manage your expectations a bit lol. Nowhere down there is going to be comparable to NYC dining, even the outpost of Il Mulino at the Swan which is far and away the best Italian on property is inferior to the NYC locations.

This is unfair tbh, and I say this as a native NYer. There are plenty of folks here who are accustomed to good non-chain restaurants where they live. And the only thing consistent about Disney dining is its inconsistency. Even outside the bubble, one visit isn't enough to judge the merits of a restaurant because even the best places have off nights. But especially at Disney.

And FWIW, the burger I had at Crew's Cup lounge, which operates out of the same kitchen as Yachtsman, I would actually put on par with the nicer pub style burgers anywhere here in NYC. It's up there with the best I've ever had at home. And for the record the last time I ate at Outback was well over 10 years ago when I lived in chain restaurant purgatory in AZ.

I was going to reply to him, but saw he only had two posts. Didn’t know if it was a troll.

I loved Yachtsman and i’ll be back again when it opens.

We will be moving from GF to YC on my birthday and I really hope it's open then for a nice birthday dinner!

You have to remember people who rave about this place are comparing it to other DisneyWorld resturants. There is not one Disney restaurant I would eat at, for the food, if I lived in the Orlando area. Everything is overpriced and mediocre at best.

Yacht Club is fully open but currently only the Villas (Disney Vacation Club (DVC)) portion of the Beach Club is open. The remainder (majority) of the Beach Club resort is currently set to open May 30th. Hopefully with that more restaurants will open.
