Yachtsman or Jiko?

Ok...This is what happens when I have too much time on my hands. I have all my Adr's in place. All ready I thought. So there I was..minding my own business reading the dis...then someone mentions something about updated menus on allears. So of course I have to check them out. So I perused the menus and came across an updated menu for Jiko that looks fabulous!
So now my dilemna....do I try to get an ADR for Jiko....we are leaving in a week. An if I do....I would cancel Yachtsman.

Help...which is better and do you think I can even get an ADR for Jiko?

I've been to both and Jiko is several steps above Yachtsman in my experience. It's much more unique, I can eat at a fantastic steakhouse at home but don't have anything that offers a menu quite like Jiko. I also can't get some of the fantastic African wines that Jiko offers. Plus AKL is gorgeous and you can look at the animals before/after.

Anyone recently tried to get an ADR here. I only have 8/28 available but it is only 2 of us and we can dine late. What do you think my chances are?

Jiko is the BEST! And it's not at all hard to get ressies. Hubby and I are local and almost always can get 'em on the same day when we spontaneously decide to eat thre (which is much too frequently).

Jiko! We ate at Yachtsman Oct 07 and it was really good. We tried Jiko in April 08 and ended up grabbing another ADR the night before we left. Great steak both times, as well as attentive service, altho one guy was very uptight and proper and the other was sort of like having my brother wait on us, if he knew anything about wine, lol. The first guy made us feel a little rushed, the second let us hang out for over 2 hours without the first little nudge...with ds8 and ds4. I'll let you guess who we liked best. We're headed back this October!

Jiko is my favorite in all of the Disney restaurants. The food is stellar and the atmosphere is really nice! I like it a lot better than the Yachtsman which is good but not as good as Jiko!

Another vote for jiko, the restaurant is beautiful and the food is phenonamel (bad spelling), Im going to try and get an adr for two weeks.

We really loved the Yachtsman when we ate there last April but both DH and I are super excited to try Jiko...it just looks so exotic! We can eat filet and such anytime but the menu at Jiko is so out of the norm for us....Just 2 months to go!
