Yachtsman Menu Question

Can you tell me if there is a certain menu we have to choose from if we are on the Dining Plan? I see that there are a few offerings that are really expensive and was not sure if we are able to order them?

To the best of my knowledge, with very few exceptions (like sushi @ CA Grill being too expensive an appetizer) - you may select any item from any menu at restaurants that participate in Disney Dining plans.

Remember, you are using 2 dining credits @ cost of about $35/credit = $70.

Appetizer - $15
Entree - $45
Dessert - $10 == $70

No, Disney is not losing money if you order the $65 lobster (that cost them less than the steak).

Thank you so much. Having to use two dining credits I was trying to figure out which meals would be worth the cost.

They had a porterhouse for 2 entree on our trip this year &last so that would be 4 credits. They also had some wagu steaks on the menu when we were there last month. Since they were almost double the price of the regular filet and strip steaks I am sure there is an upcharge. We didn't have they dining plan so I don't know the amount.

We ate there in October on the dining plan and no upcharge on any of the entrees! Had the filet again and was fantastic

We ate at yachtsman a few weeks ago and everything was included. There may be an upcharge for the wagyu like PP mentioned but we didn't ask about it. Also, if you are on the deluxe plan and have an appetizer included we were not able to pick a side instead of an app. DH wanted a side of Mac and cheese, which was less expensive than any app, but the server said the computer wouldn't recognize it. We were able to order sushi as an app at California Grill though.

I was curious about the Wagyu at YS also. I'm planning to order using Dxdp as I've always wanted to try it. I guess if there's up charge, then I'll pay difference. Looking forward to this meal. We always use DxDP and spread our credits out to generally eat twice a day and several signatures as well as using on arrival and departure day as we drive in.
