We will be there in January; myself, my husband, and our 4 sons who will be 11-17 years old.
We wanted to do one "nice" (signature) family meal, and Dh and I want one date night. We are considering Yachtsman and Artist Point--which would you choose for the family meal and which for the date night?

If it makes a difference, we are currently booked in a cabin at Fort Wilderness, but when/if they release military discounts, we might switch to Boardwalk Inn or Wilderness Lodge, depending on what we can get. Our ADR date will come up before we know if we will switch, though.

We really like Artist Point for date night. It has the right atmosphere and the staff is really nice.

We've taken our kids to the Yachtsman and they really enjoyed it.

You might want to check the menu for each restaurant. One of those may suit your family more than the other.

Haven't been to Yachtsman so don't know. We have taken our kid to Artist Point, similar ages, and they loved it. Also done it as the 2 of us. Works both ways.

Gotta go Yachtsman for date night. Do not see nearly as many kids when we visit and seems way more relaxed and date night friendly. Also some pretty fantastic steaks. Also afterwards you can walk around the resorts or walk over to the boardwalk for a romantic stroll.

I've been to both and I don't think you can make a wrong choice here. To me, Yachtsman seemed more upscale, so I would say Yachtsman for date and Artists point for family. Both are great though, so it might just come down to which fits better into your schedule.

We saw tons of kids at Yatchtman this trip but that was pretty typical of all the signatures this trip. Your kids are the ages they should be great at any signature. Between the two, I would take the kids to Yatchman. As aside note, California Grill is our favorite Signature for a special spurge meal. It's awesome with or without kids.
