Was wondering if anyone has tried Yachtman's steakhouse. It looks pretty good and the menu looks nice. we will be staying at the beach club for a few days in november.

thanks!

We had a fantastic meal there on our anniversary last year. Liked it so much we're going back next week (next week:dance3:!). The service and food was great. Our server was very efficient and professional. I ordered a filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly - I wasn't limited to the side listed on the menu, our server said I could subsitute any side from another dish. I had the chocolate trio for dessert and that was delish! DH had fish with a side of lobster mashed potatoes. Oooh, and the bread basket was really good - loved the onion popovers!

Sounds good, I would have to get the filet. when you go to a steakhouse you might as well go for it right?

I love this place too! We had the London Broil for two and it was delicous! The atmosphere is really good and the service was great!

Went here for a Birthday Dinner and had a great meal plus a personalized menu to take home. The portions were just right, the atmosphere was great and we found out 2 other tables by us were from the NJ/PA area as well (they were talking about the Eagles game).

I'd eat there again but the BF wants to try Artist's Point next year so that's the signature meal for that trip

I think the food there is yummy and the service has been the best out of all the wdw
restaurants I've visited.:):):)

We tried Yachtsman for the first time in December and the filet was awesome :thumbsup2.

Our Ratings of Yachtsman Steakhouse: (7/9/2011)

NOTE: The Yachtsman has a decent selection of steaks for the
carnivores among us. The steaks are tasty, but the presentation
does not measure to the high prices. If you want to graze and
don't care about how the meal looks, this can be the place.

You start with these wonderful popover type rolls, and another bread. You get butter plus a bowl of roasted garlic which is so good. :cool1:

Steaks are large and you can mix and match any sauce or regular side served with another steak (just not the sides listed separtate)

Cheese plate was great. We did not care for our desserts but we can not plan to go again.

We're trying Yachtsman next week and are really looking forward to it. It'll be our only signature this trip and we love trying new places.

Can someone post food pics? What sides did you like?

I know this is discussed on other threads, but for those of you who were there recently, how were the men dressed? I don't own khaki shorts, but have nice plaid ones and a polo, but is that too casual? The dress code online says men can wear shorts...but I'm not sure. It'll be a Tuesday night in case that matters.

have to go along with Rusty Scupper on Yachtsman...not worthy of signature rating. We've had some very good signature meals at Disney, would not put Yachtsman on my list for great signature-quality steaks.

we ate there last November and were underwhelmed by the steaks...have had steaks that were just as good (and just as big) and many non-signature places at Disney (so half the cost)

The atmosphere was no different than the non-signature places: loud, tables crowded together, nothing elegant about the decor.

Service was alright...not extra special or anything. We usually have good service at Disney restaurants and Yachtsman was the same as the others. Only difference in the service that I could tell was the waiter was trying to "pace" the meal so it was longer between courses...guess that was what made it "signature". Not better food.

We ate there twice and both times were fantastic. It is becoming one of our favorite signature restaurants. I am in love with the filet (always cooked to perfection and just melts in your mouth). If you are staying in the Epcot resort area, then I would highly recommend it...in fact I would still highly recommend it even if you were staying somewhere else :goodvibes

YM is our favorite DW restaurant. Both the service and the steaks are amazing!

Food was good but our server was scatterbrained. Very slow service and he only brought out the wife's entrée. When questioned, he said that he thought that we wanted to share??? I said, didn't you write down my order and his reply was that he thought that he did but he couldn't find it!

:earsboy: Bill

We have always had a good meal and wonderful service there. It is especially convenient if you are staying at the BC. I can't wait to go back in Feb! We skipped it last trip to make room for another signature, and we really missed it. My favorite is the ribeye, especially when they served the cowboy steak, it was out of this world!!!

We loved it :yay:.My DH is still taking about the tomato salad he got.
Service was great and the steaks were excellent. On the list for the next trip
