Yacht or Beach Club

We have stayed at the BCV and been in the lobby/pool areas many times. My impression is that the BC feels like being at a good friends summer cottage with a lot of people coming and going from activity to activity:) . The YC seemed to feel just that. Like I was going to someones private club and might have to shush my DD if she were talking to loud:snooty: . I feel the YC is more adult oriented but that said it is Disney and children are welcome everywhere. They do both share Stormalong Bay which is great. :cheer2:

I have to agree. We stayed and the Beach Club, and the lobby was always buzzing with people and activity. My husband and I walked over to the Yacht Club, and I was shocked at how different the atmosphere was. It was much quieter and reserved.

I would say Yacht Club is much more for adults. But StormAlong Bay is packed with children.

YC is more adult orineted in the lobby but the pool is for both. SAB is great and wonderful hands down.

YC is more adult oriented..just my opinion.

The YC lobby is MUCH quieter than BC. Keep in mind that BC has the Marketplace so there are often people in there getting their mugs refilled. In addition, there can be several families in the lobby due to the character breakfast and dinner at Cape May.

YC reminds me more of an old gentleman's club..not the nasty kind..more like a Yale kind.

I enjoy their more nautical decor as well.

I've stayed at both and have to agree with the others. To me the Yacht Club was definitely more adult oriented than the Beach Club. We heard and saw more kids at the Beach Club. There were kids at the Yacht Club bu, I don't know, it felt like a vacation where the time at the Beach Club felt like we were at Disney World. If that makes sense.

Okay but I totally agree. YC is more adult-oriented. My parents would let us "be kids" in the BC, but if we ventured over to the YC, we were "shhhhshed". SAB is awesome!
