Yacht Or Beach Club

Which one would you prefer...The Yacht or Beach Club? We stayed at the Beach Club this past May. We had a great experience there but felt the room was a little worn down (which I know is the case with alot of disney hotels) I was just curious if you felt the rooms were better at the yacht club or if there really is no difference at all.

any other experiences you would like to share there would be great too

If we do go it will be a party of 6 woman..sharing two standard rooms

I like to stay at a different resort every time I go. If you've already stayed at the Beach Club, why not try the Yacht club this time. Don't they both share the same pool complex? Never stayed there (yet), but they both look pretty neat.

I stayed one night at the Yacht Club last November and it was amazing. I've never stayed at the Beach Club. But the Yacht Club room was great. I loved the decor and everything appeared brand new. It was quite expensive, but I'm glad I got to see it.

We like BC slightly better than YC. We prefer the more "relaxed" pastel colors in the decor and it is slightly closer to Epcot.

Is the yacht club younger than the beach club. It seems from many posts I have read the rooms tend to be nicer there than the beach....hmm i wonder why?

We have stayed at both the BC and YC and found the YC more up to date. Keep in mind this was Oct 2005 when we last stayed at both. We thought there were more children in the lobby area of the BC than in the YC. Overall we loved both and we have since purchsed the DVC Beach Club Villa.

At the YC, you are more likely to get a full balcony...the BC has lots of those "Evita" balconies..and you will be crying.....j/k

Due to my research and folks I have talked with in the travel industry, YC seems more "deluxe" than BC...not sure if this is true mind you...they both look fabulous!!! I would love to be a DVC member with interest at the BCV though

I like the YC better just because of the balcony.I also like the decor better.Otherwise the hotels are pretty much the same and share everything.They each have their own club room.

They both were constructed and opened at the same time. Other than decor, the rooms are the same at both.

We are just back from the YC and we love both, but I say YC for full balcony! As you can tell in my siggy...they are where the majority of our trips have been since they both opened!

Either one is great, but if you like a balcony, then YC is for you!

I vote for the YC. I really like how the lobby looks! Keep in mind that I have never stayed there, only looked around, so I have no clue about the age of the resorts, or the rooms.
