Spent all day yesterday picking a resort for a trip for me and my sister. She has been a couple of times with her kids and grandkids and spent more time taking care of everyone than experiencing the parks. So after gathering info yesterday then talking to her today she picked Beach Club with my Visa discount. Well guess what, I went to make the reservations and there is no rooms left. But we can get Yacht Club garden view with no discount cheaper than the lagoon view at Beach. So quickly tell me why I will love Yacht Club (which I've never stayed at) just as much as I loved Beach Club when I stayed there!

You will get to use the same lazy river pool, and all of the other amenities. Yacht Club Resort is now dog friendly as of October 15. Some folks have cancelled and switched Resorts because of this sudden development. Perhaps that is why you found availability there. Enjoy!

I love the YC. The refurbished rooms are wonderful! No carpet...and keurig coffee makers. Big plus! You can use SAB just like the BC does, and the YC has full balconys...Not all rooms at the BC does.

Same pool, same restaurants (since they share the same property), and still within walking distance of both DHS and Epcot. We loved staying at YC. It's very convenient and the garden view room we had was very peaceful.

I think the Yacht Club is nicer for an adults-only trip. I personally don't care for the Beach Club.

Not only adults, but my teens like YC more than BC. We like the decor and rooms better. But will stay at either. I hope you have a great trip.

Almost all of the rooms at the Yacht Club have full balconies while only 50% of the rooms at Beach Club do, as Octoberbaby mentions above.

I love both resorts.

If you want to check out lots of pictures and get lots of info, check out the FAQ thread in my signature, particularly page 1, Post 1 and Post 9.

We like YC better than BC. It is quieter (at least it was pre-dogs), and we liked the room decor better. I also love having a full balcony.
