Yacht Club??

Have you stayed here? we really wanted to stay at the beach club! (went there before and loved the pool!!! Anyways, that one is booked for the time we want to go, and we want the pool, so we're thinking about hte Yacht Club . would you recommend it?

Well I have never stayed at BC but we stayed at YC last August and are going back next week. We really enjoyed it. Except for some differences in atmosphere, I don't think it's much of a difference. There were plenty of kids at both resorts. The one upside is that every YC room has a full size patio or balcony, none of that standing-only business.

I would HIGHLY recommend it for a nice quiet vacation...if was fantastic and it is our hotel of choice, but after we try the 3 deluxes left on our list, BW (this month), AKL (Oct) and GF (?)

Absolutely!!! WE are going to YC in 9 days - 5 family members plus 2 friends of the kids. Have stayed twice before - and loved it!! Very classy resort. You will share the pool and the restaurants and the location so near to Epcot and MGM (aka DHS). Whether you are a couple or a family it's great.

We prefer YC because you will definitely get a full balcony as opposed to the BC where you can get the step out type. (very small)

My hub and I LOVED the YC! Totally worth it-not just for the balcony! It's a great place to stay with a great atmoshpere! Have fun!

I LOVE YC! Of the Disney hotels we have tried (YC, POR, POP, WL) it is my absolute favorite. My kids (11 and 5) also love it.

We love the YC!!! The CMs are wonderful and the rooms are lovely. This year we're going to BC for a little change of scenery, but no way we'd leave that pool! Its YC or BC for us every trip!

We have stayed at the YC numerous times and will be doing so again next week (I can't wait). It's my favorite resort at WDW. You will not be disappointed.

We have stayed at both BC and YC and actually prefer YC. Not too much difference except for the balcony issue already discussed. Plus, the YC lobby and grounds are more relaxed vs the BC because of the Cape May Character meals in the lobby of the BC. The two resorts share all the good stuff (SAB, Beaches and Cream, etc) so you're good

Love the YC!! Last summer we stayed there, the summer before we stayed at the BC. If I had to pick one over the other it would definitely be YC. The CMs were super nice. I just felt like I was staying at a nicer ( more upscale ) resort at the YC than the BC. The BC I just felt like the lobby was sooo hectic and noisy. I'd stay there again, too....but YC would be me 1st choice between the two.

Last night I learned my sister is going to WDW in October with her family. I invited myself along with my DW and 3 DD's who will be 12, 8, and 5. Our last visit to WDW we stayed at the Poly and fell in love with that resort. My sister booked the YC for her stay. My dilemma is should we stay at the YC with her or stay at the Poly. We have never stayed at the YC before but we have visited the area. The reason I like the Poly is its closeness to magic Kingdom and access to the monorail. My kids love to swim and it looks like the YC has a better pool area. If we decide to stay at YC which floor should we stay on along which view should we request? Also does anyone know if Mickeys Halloween party starts this early? We will be there from 10/09-10/16. Any and all input will be greatly appreciated.

We were in room 3047 last November. Third floor looking out over the water towards the Boardwalk. Slightly to the left we could see the tops of EPCOT buildings and the Eiffel Tower. Sunrise was great from this balcony! And one night we got ice cream at Beaches & Cream and ate it on the balcony while watching the "higher" fireworks from Illuminations. It was a great view.
