what room or section should I request?
Should I be close to the the market for food and to fill up on the refillable mugs.
Any area to avoid?
Are upper floor better?
Any advise?
Thx

It really depends on what you like. Some people like to be close to the lobby/elevators but those are my least favorite rooms. Some people like patio first floor rooms for the convenience of not needing to use an elevator, I prefer a higher floor. My preference is near the gazebo or boat dock, upper floor but it really depends on your own preference.

I agree with gillep. Everyone has different needs & preferences. Those will be influenced by the room category you have booked & your party make up. You have to figure out what is most important to your family. Some people want a day bed so make that their top request. Some want to be close to transportation. Some want close to the market etc. It is usually recommended you don’t ask for a specific room number, because if that room is not available, the assigner won’t know what it was about that room you wanted...location? sleeping arrangements? the view? etc.

Also remember, you don’t have to make room requests. If there is nothing you really, really need, don’t stress yourself out trying to pick the ideal location or room. We almost never make room requests. And the last time we did it was at POR, we didn’t get the building we requested anyway. So even if you do make requests, remember they are just that: requests & you may not get what you wanted anyway.

I had requested to be near the lobby and was a little annoyed when we were walking to our room as we were quite a bit away. Turned out to be a great spot down the corridor towards the boat dock, facing Storm Along Bay, we could see the Illuminations fireworks at night from our balcony. There was a back entrance so we just used that to get to/from the pool, walk to Epcot or DHS, etc..
