I've never stayed at the Yacht Club. We are booked in a room with a daybed and a pool/lagoon view. Is there anything you think I should request? I'm not sure if certain areas of the resort are better than others. Thanks!

I didn't think the daybed was a book able category - that it was a request and families w/ 5 had priority for those rooms, but maybe that's changed. I prefer the rooms that overlook the lake on the wedding gazebo side as opposed to the SAB view rooms - but that is because I think it is a prettier view - others may prefer looking @ SAB for various reasons.

The previous poster is correct, asking for a daybed counts as request #1, so you can make one additional request with that. I would recommend requesting a "high floor" just because personally I like to be high up. Or if you like first floor then request that. :) Another popular request is "close to lobby" if you are worried you won't like the Dolphin side. Really there is no bad water view room. :thumbsup2

We are currently in a lagoon/pool view room at YC (but on CL) and we are right around the corner from the elevator, which is awesome because we are close to the lobby, the pool, everything....it's great!! :cool1:

Thanks everyone! I didn't realize that the daybed was just a request! Could be interesting. It's dh, myself,18 yr old son, 13 yr old daughter, 9 year old daughter. We usually stay dvc so it'll be tight. Good points about the floor, water views and nearness to elevator. Great to discuss with dh. Thanks for your help!

If you have 5 people they will do everything they can to get you a daybed. But it isn't guaranteed. We checked in at the YC CL late one night after a long delayed plane flight and all they had left was two queens. So they brought up a roll-away for us. It wasn't too terrible. It just blocks a lot of floor space. The next morning we were moved to a room with a daybed, after asking very nicely of course. ;)
