We are currently booked at Yacht Club for Dec 12 - 15th (arriving LATE on the 12th and flying out late on the 15th).

We could save $300 by moving to OKW but I'm not sure if it's worth it. We plan on doing the Christmas Party on the 13th, and Candlelight Processional on the 14th (dining package at Ale & Compass for lunch). Do you think being walking distance to Epcot & HS is worth the extra $300 for such a short trip?

Note: costs are split 3 ways across 3 adults, so it would really be an extra $100/pp to stay at Yacht club

I would stay at Yacht Club since you already have a dining reservation there and can walk over to the IG and do the candlelight processional. It's a pain to get from a resort to another resort using Disney transportation. If you do decide to switch I would try to change my dining reservation to something in Epcot.

I would stay at the YC for the $100 per person difference on such a short stay but your group will need to weigh the price / value proposition to make your final decision.

While it will not make much of a difference on the 13th for your Christmas Party, the short walk to Epcot from the YC and back after the Candlelight Processional is a great way to end your evening. The option of the walkway or Friendship to HS is also a great option.

Walking to Epcot and Hollywood studios is easily worth $100 per person, even if you never step foot into the pool. Not having to deal with the never ending bus loop at OKW is priceless :)

We are currently staying at the Beach Club for the first time. I honestly don't care for this resort at all, but the walk to Epcot, and boat to HS has definitely been the one perk and I'd say worth some $$$. I've never stayed at OKW or Yacht Club, but did walk over to Yacht Club yesterday. It's very dark inside but nice looking. The location is definitely a big plus and of course the pool if you think you'll use it.

I'd stick with YC. I've never stayed at OKW, but had my first stay at YC this past June and I loved it! I agree with others that being within walking distance to Epcot & DHS is a very nice perk (especially on the night you attend the Candlelight Processional).

I probably should have checked back on this thread sooner...

We decided to switch to OKW for the following reasons:
1. That $100/pp can go to the price of our party tickets
2. We plan on spending a majority of the day at the parks anyways
3. Our CP day we originally planned on taking a mid-day break at the Epcot area resorts doing a lunch & bar hop to see all the x-mas decor, so the reservation at Ale & Compass works in our favor
4. Now we can do brunch at Olivia's on our last day

I have been to both resorts but have not stayed at either. However, we just got back from a stay at BWV, hands down I would stay at YC. Walking to the parks is an amenity that I love, even if I visit Epcot only once, which we did on a 4 day stay. It's so convenient and personally, I can drop $300 on dumb stuff in no time and if it's being split 3 ways so only $100 pp. I like OKW but the location of YC can't be beat.

An OKW studio would have two queen beds. So two of you would need to share a bed. They just completed the renovations at OKW, so they are clean, but dull. You will probably need to take the stairs to your villa unless you are on the first floor.
