Yacht Club, Boulder Ridge, or Copper Creek?

I’m currently booked at Yacht Club for the second half of our split stay in October 2021. We will be at Pop for 5 nights first and then 6 nights at Yacht Club in a garden view room. I now see that bookings have opened up at Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge. If I switched to a studio at one of those, I could save $700. I’ve never stayed at any of the three Deluxes, so I would appreciate opinions, good or bad, about any of them. It would be me, my adult sister, and my 70ish mother, who will be using a scooter.

At the 2 DVC choices you only will have 1 Queen size bed and a sleeper sofa. Is that worth $700 in savings?

For us it is always location, location, location so that makes YC the pick of the litter.

In short, POP will still satisfy the close proximity to HS and EP. Copper Creek and Boulder are beautiful resorts and is close to MK. The skyliner is great for transportation and the food options around Yacht and Boardwalk are endless which staying at POP will allow the ease of access.

If you have no preference for bed type I’d try to snag Copper Creek, those rooms tend to book up extremely fast and are quite hard to come by at the 7 month mark.

The bed differences would probably steer me to YC given your travel party.

CC is beautiful and WL may be a nice, relaxing change of pace from the more in your face Pop vibe. Maybe something your mother would enjoy?

Have not stayed at BR but I see comments from time to time that the rooms are due for a refresh... so compared to the relatively new rooms at YC and CC, BR would probably be lower on my list.

Will you have a car?

If you are at Wilderness Lodge without a car, you cannot get anywhere quickly and easily. If you are at the hotel and you want something to eat, for example, you're stuck with what is offered at the hotel (unless you want to use Uber/Lyft/taxi or take a bus or boat to MK). For 6 nights, that would be too much for me.

If you are at YC, you can walk to BC, BoardWalk, Swan and Dolphin. You also can walk to Epcot if you used your park ticket to enter that day, or if park hopping has returned (and there is availability and you have the appropriate ticket).

When I stayed at Copper Creek without a car, I regretted my hotel choice every single day and wished that I had booked in the Epcot resort area. When I was at the hotel, I felt stuck.

You could have three sleeping surfaces at the Yacht Club - two queens and a daybed. The YC is also better for someone using an ECV since you can get to two parks and many restaurants without having to use a bus. The studios at Boulder Ridge and Copper Creek are smaller than a room at the YC, too. But if the $700 savings is important, than you can make do with staying there instead of the Yacht Club. :)

BRV studio will have one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa, plus one bunk sized murphy bed. CCV studio will have one queen bed and one queen sleeper sofa. No murphy bed.

In a choice between CC or Boulder, I'd take CC because you're part of the hotel. We've always had the worse luck with bus travel from CC/BR but if your focus is MK then the location is wonderful.

Yacht Club for sure, especially since Mom is using a scooter. Proximity to EPCOT and Boardwalk area will make it much easier for her to get around. We own BRV and love it, but it is isolated as you have to take the boat or a bus to MK area and transfer to the monorail or bus anywhere else.

BRV is connected to the hotel by a covered walkway. It's not like it is miles away. And BRV is a bit closer to the bus stop, though maybe a bit further from the boat dock.
