Hi! :)
Yesterday we recieved a letter from the concierge staff. In it was instructions for our arrival. (acess card ect...) it says to tell Valet who we are then go up to the concierge floor. Ok my question is do I have to valet park?? I know some may think whats 6 a day when you are already spending so much to stay concierge , but I do feel I have spent enough and my hubby can park for us:)
Anyone have experience with this? Thanks :)

We just returned from the Yacht Club Concierge (as part of our honeymoon) and we valet parked our car b/c we enjoy that amenity when vacationing, but by no means should you feel you have to valet park when staying at the YC. We love the convenience of it, but I think that they were just alerting you to the service that they provide. NOt that you have to park VALET.

Also, you will love the concierge staff @ YC- they were wonderful and so very friendly and nice! Teresa and Betty were lovely to work with and always helped us out.

ENJOY YOUR STAY!!!

.. Also, you stated "it says to tell Valet who we are then go up to the concierge"
I want to let you know that the gentlemen and ladies that are outside in front of the resort- greeting guests/taking luggage are called VALET. So you can let them know you are staying concierge and they will handle your luggage accordingly.

This should be what you are looking for! :)

I understand what you mean about valet parking. We have decided it's silly also to leave our car in valet for the entire trip as we take only Disney transportation when there. We now just leave our car in valet the first night. On arrival, we let valet take our luggage and park our car. The next morning when we are headed out to the parks, one of my daughters runs down and gets the car and parks it in the guest parking. We then head on and no one is the wiser. Saves $$ and also takes care of the arrival problem. Have fun!

Thanks :) I did not know that is what they were, I asssumed it was just the people who parked the cars!! I feel so dumb. :)
But Im glad you tolkd me so now I know.:)

I just got back (yesterday) from YC Concierge. We self-parked our car everyday. No one seemed to think it was odd. When we pulled up, the valet took all of our bags, and then my husband parked the car. It was nice because we always knew where the car was, so we had easy, quick access to it. also, the self-park area is very close to the entrance.
